We moved to a brand new subdivision that does not yet show up on mapquest and so forth. I figured it would take some time but I filled out the forms on 8/28 putting the next day as the start date and it's now 9/8. I had something delived thru UPS and it was not a problem. Just wanted to know how long other people have waited after moving. I'm getting a little nervous that there is nothing in my mailbox! Thanks in advance!

Generally it's five business days, but it's also summer and the postpeople may have been on vacation and the fill-in may have not gotten the message. Call your local postoffice and explain your problem. If UPS found you , the post office should be able to as well.

It usually only takes a couple of days at the most (although my town has a particularly efficient Post Office). It seems to me you should have gotten your mail by now.

Of course, there are always the occasional mishaps with Post Office stuff. Someone I know accidentally intercepted his family member's mail when he tried switching his own address.

You should call the Post Office to see if they're holding any mail for you and double-check that the change-of-address is in effect. You may be able to find out something if you go their website. Any chance you did something wrong if you filled out the form on the website?

One other point: Don't forget that between then and now there have been a few Sundays and Labor Day.

Hi there - - when we moved it took about 8-10 days for stuff to start filtering through - we signed up for a three month redirection of mail etc.

Dont worry, it'll get sorted:-)

If it is more than a week it would not hurt to send in a second change of address. I used to follow up with a 2nd and 3rd sometimes.

It can take 7-10 business days. If you are worried about bills, call the creditor and get the balance so you can pay it on time.

In my experience, a little less than a week.

Give it sometime. You'll get it all.
