I haven't but a co-worker did. She had curly hair too - I would think that's even more highly valued!
Personally, I thought she should have received a better hair cut in return. Oh sure they're just going to chop it off, but a bit of shaping afterwards would have been nice.

My best friend's twin 12 year old daughters did. They felt really good about it. They are growing their hair out again and will do it again in a few months.

My daughter did. Her hair grows so fast you can almost watch it. She signed up with the local hospital.
