This site started in December. I started in January. Now someone like Raju, who is at the top of the leader board puts on 20,000 points a week, claiming to spend over 5 hours a day. Thats a lot. ( Leader board link )

I find it relaxing to get on once and a while and answer some questions, hoping to help someone out. Its a nice feeling to be chosen for Best. It really doesn't take too long to move up. This is the way I figure it, if you answer and vote on the Max number of questions you can it will take...
2 days to get to level 2
8 days to get to level 3
8 days to get to level 4
3 weeks to get to level 5
40 days to get to level 6 if you only answer and vote on 50 questions (remember that's 2 points and 1 point respectively, so mix it up however you want)
4 months to get to level 7 (if you follow the above 50 question rule)
Then you can start working for the top of leader board.
Then of course you need to eliminate the top leaders if they keep going like they are. (20,000 points per week, sheesh)

It's like others have said. Try to give your best answers & hope to be chosen as such, but don't worry if it doesn't happen because you still get a couple points for answering at all.
I've got a wonderful life off-line, and most of my time on-line is about 40 hours per week. I'm basically chained to a desk where I monitor alarms audibly & talk for a living while being left in almost total isolation. It's a multi-tasking situation that leaves me mostly free to read, type, answer questions, etc...
It can help if you're fast & get answers in real quick, but that's not my style. I'd rather go slower, take my time, and just respond. I just hit level 5 & I'm thrilled, but I'm still totally astounded by level 6 & mind-boggled by level 7. Those people are amazing....but I'll get there someday too.

I am at level 3 and closing in on level 4! I only got on Yahoo Answers 2 months ago and not on the computer a lot. But almost every day I get 2 or 3 notices that my answers are chosen. This way the points add up fast. I don't have time to sit in front of this damn thing for long periods. This computer chair hurts my as*s!

I'm only on level 4 but I have a 30% Best Answer rate and don't ask many questions. I don't spend long on here and only answer what I think I have something useful to say on. Do that for a few months and the points tally up.

I'm on level 5, and I was off Yahoo Answers for quite some time. I'm not really on here all that often. But when I do get on, I tend to answer quite a few questions. It's no big deal. I definitely have a life outside the Internet. Which reminds me, I've got to get offline and get ready for a dinner date.

No. I'm on level 6, and it only requires me to be on 40 hours per week. LOL - notice something familiar about those 40 hours?
That, and like the guy said, ask fewer questions, answer tons of questions, and get as many best answers as possible.
To reach this level is usually - usually I say - a good indication that someone isn't completely full of crap.

Click on "View Leaderboard". There are gobs of people at level 7!! These people must be either bored or have no life. I'm at level 4 and I'll probably die before I get to 5!!!!

bypass away unfulfilling regulation regulation for grace is adequate. Grace is mercy finished, which isn't unfulfilled in any respect. be conscious in Colossians 3:12-15 charity (by no ability fails) is to be positioned on "above" those 'seven' issues: 7 - forgiving one yet another 6 - forbearing one yet another 5 - longsuffering 4 - meekness 3 - humbleness of suggestions 2 - kindness a million - bowels of mercies For in 1Corinthians 13 it notes that charity "thinketh no evil", so charity thinks no evil to even forgive it is point 8, it is above 7, a extra stunning way, it is neither huge nor narrow mindead.
