My daughter was one of forty-two students picked to travel over seas to experience other cultures and to teach other childern about the united states. This program is very pricey but well worth the expence. The People to People Student Ambassador Program has been in existence for fifty years and provides great experience for children. Kourtney had to go through thorough interviewing and is working very had to raise tuition but could use some help. Any suggestions would be greatful.

HI,
Today, when I bought some books in the largest book-store in my city, I saw a volunteer group, also the biggest in my city, severed at there. After had a talk to them, I knew that they worked for free as normal "volunteer works". However, I wonder that volunteer group organized volunteers work in a profit book-store, although state-hold company, for free is reasonable or common?

Thanks

My Aunt runs a Christian radio station and she has a few volunteers that she will have working for her . She is looking for any ideas of how to write up a formal letter with a good set of rules and guidelines for the volunteers to follow. Of courseshe know what the rules are but I guess she is just having trouble with it being worded right. Does anyone have any ideas (website) on how she could get this done. Maybe radio station websites with volunteer guidelines on it so she can look ....and read their rules she even said she might could incorporate some of those rules in her guidelines......Thank you!

I have many ideas (areas I see that need improving) for starting a non-profit business, but I want to know what other ordinary people see as the areas / things that need attention in the U.S. today?? Education? Crime? Poverty? Disease? Environment? Other?

I am enquiring for a Charity called Second Chance Childrens Charity. This charity picks up the pices for British children who have been abused mentally, phsyically and sexually. Also the most underpriviledge children in the community. They support children with heart tumour, brain shunts and children with learning difficulties, also those with terminal illnesses. They are looking for a marquee to use in december to hold a big christmas party for the children in Erith Kent. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to help.

It really drives me crazy when I read in the paper that someone rich has died and left all their fortune to the cat society or a dog home somewhere.
Yes I love animals I have a dog and cat at home but isn't it a waste? there are far more important things in the world to donate money too, children being the main one abused children abandoned children, I dont know of any cat that cries itself to sleep at night because its mother has abandoned it.
shouldnt we be investing money into the future and children are the future afterall, failing that leaving money to a research company would be the next best thing (cancer, aids etc) Im all for sorting out the curelty to animals issues but maybe if we sort the people in this world out first the rest will follow, do you agree?

I know someone, over 50 who was just released from prison. His charge was drug related. Now he is out, and due to a heart condition and other various body ailments (he did construction for 30 years) he is not employable in his field any longer. On top of that, he has no other experience. On top of that, there is now this issue of a criminal history. He says he was told or read in jail, that there are loans available for ex offenders, and something about social security that you can claim for a period of time. However, he also thinks he may be eligible for disability because of his health conditions (which don't relate to the incarceration at all) .. What organizations should he contact first? Having absolutely no working knowledge about any of this, I am at a loss as to how to help him. Let me remind you, we are talking about a man who worked 7 days a week for 30 years, not some run of the mill criminal. Please refrain from rude and insulting responses. I am looking for real guidance.

I need fundraising ideas. Here's the catch...there are only 3 people to do the fundraising. I teach a Sunday School class and we are making stockings for a children's hospital. I have thought of a bake sale...I need more suggestions. We need to raise $70 and need to do this on the first weekend in December.
