I live in the South West. Normally you can NOT move for the British Legion (and the like) selling them.

hi,

i believe the reason we are seeing less of them this year is because some muslim people + the p.c brigade claimed they were racist against some sections of society,

this very thing annoys me because most british and american families have parents/grandparents who were in the wars and in my opinion it should be compulsory to remember the people that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and life as it is today.

i'll get off my soap box now lol. bit of a sore point because i have both been to war and have lost close mates to war.

in my humble opinion it is time we stood up as a country and said no more, this is our country and we will not be dictated to the way we are being right now, by people that were not born in this country and have only been allowed to stay because we have let them.

pull the draw-bridge up i say, let them flood europe of which i do not wish to be a part of,

does anybody in this country feel european? i don't, i feel british and used to be proud of it.

have you ever observed, there at the instant are not any fees marked on poppies, you pay what you could arise with the money for,and in spite of the undeniable fact that little it somewhat is you nonetheless get a poppy. This money isn't used to combat the subsequent wars, it somewhat is to pay in some small way for the wear, soreness, and agony brought about to those who survived the final wars, and the present ones. and to assist the families of people who did no longer return. i'm 80 years previous now,and so have been giving for some years, and that i've got considered the artwork completed via the ROYAL BRITISH LEGION, by what was called THE EARL HAIGH FUND ,and that i comprehend that without it the international may be a miles worse place for the folk who gave us our freedom.

yes apparently theyre thinking about changing them to white poppies which seems a bit weird considering weve had red poppies for ages to remember those who died. Also can you get white poppies? i thought they were all red?

Yep, they are outside Tesco and all the other major stores, we have them at work, around the city centres, should be seeing a lot more as we approach the 11th.
