I am currently working for a charity run organisation, eventhough they are an government based charity, they have little or no funding (partly because the government decide to spend money on petty things like speed camera's &congestion charges etc!) I really want to help this charity in some way shape or form...can anyone help?! Cheers!

1. These Yanks, eh? They're always good for a laugh! If
A_VEGASGUY had been able to give it any thought, he would have seen that you're a Brit [not only terms like "speed cameras", "congestion charge" and "Cheers!"; but also spelling "organisation" with an S, and not a Z). So forget "sams club or wal mart", unless you want to try Asda. lol

2. You've just got to scrounge, ponce, lig and blag. It isn't the height of coolness, but push the fact that it is for "charidee", and be prepared to give any benefactor businesses a plug on all publicity material. You'll probably find that some businesses will give freebies. Here are the obvious targets (with links to their store finder page:
a) Staples http://www.multimap.com/clients/places.cgi?client=staples_uk_sf
b) Ryman http://www.ryman.co.uk/storefinder.asp?cat=0
c) W H Smith http://www.whsmith.co.uk/whs/go.asp?menu=WHSmithnet&pagedef=/ourstores/home/index.htm&promotion=footer_our_stores
d) Martin McColl http://www.multimap.com/clients/places.cgi?client=tmretail_01
e) Woolworths http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/storelocator/index.jhtml

3. Also note that, even though it is a non-cash transaction, technically you should show any contribution in your accounts, both as income (donations) and expenditure (stationery). Remember that your donors may wish to see your annual report (with accounting statement).

Good luck.
