Last night I kind of fooled around with my roomie (bi girl), i didnt kiss her or have sex with her or anything, we just..I dont want to get explicit and describe what we did but it wasnt NOTHING yet it wasnt anything at the same time, so I dont know if I shoud consider it cheating or not, i love my gf so much and I allready feel so guilty, I don't know what to do...me and her have been on and off the whole year and just in sept decided to be in a open relationship even though I havent done anything with anyone else until last night BUT it was the worst timing ever because in the last month me and my gf have never been closer and more in love!
This is really bad....I dont know, I'm freaking a bit....I dont even like my roomie, I dont have feelings for her but I'm slightly attracted to her...and I had a bit too much to drink last night (even though thats not an excuse) so argh..what should i do? Should I let my gf know what happened last night or forget about it and never do it again?

Christians are fond of saying that God created Hell because it shows us that there are consequences for our actions.

They continue, and say that it's like our love for our children. If we really love them, we will punish them so they will be better people.

But would we punish them eternally?

And further, would it be love, if we created a place for Lucifer and made it also become a place for our children (whom you created) of eternal torment?

What if our children were rebellious? Would we then, ALLOW them to be tormented, and eternally burned and tortured and eventually annihilated in a lake of fire, because they were rebellious.

Does unconditional love exist? Should it? I've heard some parents say that nomatter what their child did, they would always love them and try to help them.

You say that the child won't accept the help?

But would you then make the only alternative for rebellion, a Hell for your child? Would you kill your child? Did God make this plan or not?

My pastor was the godliest, kindest man I ever knew, but is quitting the ministry because he has learned that Jesus never existed, as well as other things wrong about Christianity.
He was a faithful and loving Christian for sixty years!
How is one supposed to keep believing in something, even when the evidence against it is overwhelming and conclusive?
That seems like intellectual dishonesty! Is a "relationship" with Jesus all the proof we need? I've been telling people that for years, but now I'm not so sure.
People sincerely believe many things that are just plain wrong: Jim Jones, Muhammad, Paul, Joseph Smith, The Flat Earth Society... are they all right because of their perceived relationships with their God?
Believing things that are unfounded seems, to me, to be potentially dangerous, or at best, it slows down progress!

I know about the parable of the sower, but it seems like a convenient explanation/addition to scripture to cover their bases/to just provide any answer

So why are Christians getting so upset about people calling the Christmas tree a Holiday tree? The Christmas tree was originally used to celebrate the winter solstice in pagan religions, not Christmas. It was after Constantinople merged the two celebrations that the tree became a symbol for Christmas. Funny how people don't do their research.

The existence of the Bible.

We've been together for a long time - this won't freak him out.

"This is your real present. No matter how hard I try, I have already given you the most valuable thing I have – my love for you. You have made the time I have spent with you the best time of my life, and I’m looking forward to all the wonderful things I get to share with you. You are the best man that I have ever known, and I feel so lucky and glad to have you as a part of my life. I just want to do the best I can to be good to you, and to make you as happy as you have made me. It seems like the longer I spend with you, the more I love you and the more things I find out that let me know how special you truly are. Loving you is a great adventure, and I am definitely along for the ride. I was telling you the truth when I said that I have gotten everything I ever wanted this year – you are so much more than I ever could have imagined to hope for, and I can’t think of anything else I’ll ever need. Merry Christmas, baby.

How come atheists get married when marriage is a holy matrimony between man woman and God dating back to the creation of humans? I mean I don’t see Christians picking up no atheist traditions (if you have any) and implementing them into their life.
And please dont say its a new age tradition cause its not.

Disclosure: I already asked this in the politics area of YA, trying it in the religion area to see what the difference in responses might be.

The establishment clause of the first amendment to the US constitution is generally interpreted to give freedom of religion. How does that apply to atheists? Generally speaking, religious discrimination has been condemned as illegal in theory, if not in practice, as long as a specific religion’s beliefs do not cause them to violate some other US law (e.g. fundamental Mormons and polygamy). But atheists are rarely given the same regard. Do you think atheists face discrimination? If the establishment clause guarantees freedom of religion, does it guarantee atheists freedom from religion? If not, why not?

For reference:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; ..."

I've seen a lot of questions asking where the energy came from to perform the "big bang". I'm an atheist, I really don't know if the big bang happened or not I'm not sure what happened but I do know that the big bang makes tons more sense than a floating bearded man snapping his fingers.

So here's my question for you, Where did god come from?

Maybe you get an inheritance. How much money do you need to retire on?

Is there a ministry you want to do, or a business you dream of starting?

Do you have family far flung, as I have, all over North America and Europe, that I know by email. Do you have distant family or friends you would visit?

Would you be satisfied living just like you do now?

Or does a world tour tempt you?
