How come atheists get married when marriage is a holy matrimony between man woman and God dating back to the creation of humans? I mean I don’t see Christians picking up no atheist traditions (if you have any) and implementing them into their life.
And please dont say its a new age tradition cause its not.

Atheists are like many other religions they only believe and enforce what benefits them at the time. They say that their religion is to uplift man, but they judge others just like some religions do. They point fingers just as much as the rest.... They separate themselves from the poor and distraught and they only believe in bettering themselves for self perseverance... Don't let them fool U....

Since when did your Christian Church decide that marriage was a religious concern? Then ask when the Church decided that commoner's marriages deserved to be counted as Holy as well?
The earliest date I can find for the Christians actually getting involved with common marriage is in 1563 when the Council of Trent demanded that all marriages be attended and recorded by a Priest and two witnesses (witness was a legal position at that time, like a registrar today)

Before that they were only concerned with the marriages of Royalty. Marriage was a legal contract to them back then.

Besides, marriage is still a legal condition only. It is quite possible to get married without any Church involvement at all, and even in a Church the document that matters is the legal document recording the marriage.
If two people want to make the legal commitment that obligates them to supporting each other and subjects them to divorce laws it is their business. No matter how foolish I think it would be for two men to marry, it is their business, not mine.
If anybody wants to yap about animal marriages being next, get a grip, animals can't sign legal documents or enter a legal contract..

Marriage is a legal union. I think you'll find an atheist would get married for the legal benefits involved, not out of any irrelevant religious significance. Go do your church service and get your church marriage, without that marriage license from the country, the government would not recognize you as being married. Also I know for a fact that Roman law covered marriage status and that was probably 500 years before christianity ever began.

People got married LOOOOONNNNGGGG before your quaint little religion was invented by the parasites to control your life.

YOU need to do some research on the history of marriage.

As someone mentioned, marriage is much more about transferable rights and privileges under the law than about all that imaginary sky swooper stuff.

"And please dont[sic] say its a new age tradition cause its not."
Who on earth told you that?
Your scamming preacher?
Get your head outa that tight place.
People get married ALL over the world in ALL different kultchas.
You're a USian, aren't you?
You think your country is the only one that has traditions.
Our aboriginals have culture going back over 40,000 years - they don't believe in your invisible sky swoopers and they still do that marriage thingy ... all without permission from USians.

[edit]
"Wheres[sic] your prove[sic]?"
Listen kid, your ONLY proof that 'god' exists is in ONE book.
There are millions (yes - MILLIONS) of other books dealing with all sorts of Fiction and NON-Fiction.
Facts are facts - your bible fits into the Fiction category - there's hardly a fact in it.

It is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
You removed all doubt.

Thanks for the laugh.

Marriage, historically, is indeed a religious creation. However, it now also has very real legal ramifications as well. And, just because an atheist understands the biological basis for love and romance, that doesn't mean they shy away from grand romantic gestures when inclined. What would be the fun in that?

I get such a kick out of you thumpers. You come up with your little questions, and you think you've got them all figured out, and you're gleefully thinking, "THIS one'll really shut those atheists up!", and then you make the mistake of actually posting them, and the questions are swatted aside like pesky gnats. It's just TOO funny! When will you realize that the thumper has not been born who can outwit even the dumbest atheist? Your primitive superstition is illogical, from its very core. That's why your arguments can only be illogical, and you can never win against a rational human being.

Marriage dates back farther than christianity. And even if there were not laws in place, partnerships have been around almost as long as humans have. Hell, even dolphins pair for life. I'm pretty sure they aren't christians either. Way to go, you guys spread to fish now? (yes, I know dolphins are mammals) We marry, you go with holy matrimony. There's a difference there.

Marriage is a business agreement. You don't even need a church. No wonder so many of the christian flavor are failing.

Just a side note, marriage was around long before Christianity, why do you insist on so many pagan traditions?

All religions all over the world believe in marriage. Its not just a Christian thing. Hindus, Taoists, Jews, Shintos, all of them have been getting married since prehistoric times. Marriage has been around a lot longer than Christianity.

Marriage is just as much a legal agreement as it is a religious agreement. The only one that will actually, really matter in the end is the legal side of marriage.

Marriage is NOT a holy matrimony between man, woman, and God.

There has been a notion of marriage in just about every human civilisation. The concept far predates the Judeo-Christian God.

Make sure you know what you're talking about before you ask questions like these.
