I think this is a good question to ask because many Roman Catholic immigrants to this country were poor, not rich!Including my maternal grandfather & great grandparents/

So,being that so many Roman Catholic immigrants were poor, where did the Roman Catholic church get the money to do anything here in the USA?

capitalize on that? If humor causes them such torment, two or three comedians like George Carlin and Jackie Mason could end this conflict in just a few weeks.

Face to face, written( snail mail or hand delivered letters), email, text messaging via cell phone , IM ( Instant Messaging), telephone or telepathy?
I'm asking the seniors because some seniors can tend to feel vulnerable, so I am curious if that vulnerability transfers into your communication choice as well, a protective thing.

I strongly prefer email myself. I really don't like to talk on the phone much at all. Email gives me the chance to think how to respond. Thus my thoughts are more accurate.

that you really, really wanted, but your parents didn't get for you? (I'm speaking only in terms of gifts they reasonably could have obtained and afforded.) I had two - an Easy Bake Oven and a Snoopy Sno-cone machine. I think my parents had an aversion to buying things for which they would have had to continue buying MORE things (i.e. cake mixes, sno-cone syrups), in order for me to play with them. : )

but if an agnostic or atheist or someone of a diff. religion tried to do the same they would flip out!

I recently went to my doc. to get some contacts and he asked me if I went to church, I told him I wasn't religious, he knew I went to a catholic highschool but I told him I didn't believe in that stuff, he proceeded to talk about church, god, and gave me a card from his church saying how I should go, I just told him I was not religious and i thought that was very rude and inappropriate. He is lucky I am a good person and politely listened and smiled.

i had been seeing a lot of the eye of horus. i got a random necklace of out a machine with the left eye, then i started seeing the eye everywhere. on a cd my mom wanted for xmas, on the back of a lady's neck, on a book i had to check out at the library. the eye showed up everywhere, and does weekly. then i found a random book on ancient egpyt in this store called ross, and i found there also a cat statue that looks like baset, that i was immediately drawn to, and a small coffin that looks egpyptian, even though its all made in china. lol. the point is, i have been drawn to the ancient egyptian faith, and its like its sending me signs. has anybody else experienced these kinds of signs? do you know a lot about the ancient egyptians, the left eye of horus, or the cat gods? thanks.
