oh well.
if ever, Jesus is a symbol of a messenger incarnate and not GOD at all. it's just that Pagan Rome (and would you believe, even Alexander the Great) was so impressed with Jewish theology that the Romans elevated the prophet to a God Incarnate, and of course reformed their Old Religion in the process by incorporating the Tanakh (Jewish Bible) into what we know as the Christian Bible today.
the One, True GOD is larger than the Universe, and if ever there is a Material Incarnation of Him (Her/It), it should be the Universe and nothing less.
And of course, that Universe has Its own Consciousness as well. So much more different from ours.
Jesus and all of us are children of the Universe, all children of GOD.
peace

There are three separate persons in the Godhead: God, the Eternal Father; his Son, Jesus Christ; and the Holy Ghost. The answer is quite easy. God the Father looked after those affairs. We have the account of the baptism of Jesus to show the separate nature of the members of the Godhead. God the Father spoke from Heaven testifying of Jesus' divine son-ship and the Holy Ghost is descending in the form of a dove. These three persons are one in perfect unity and harmony of purpose and doctrine.
Joseph Smith once said, "Many men say there is one God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are only one God [i.e. one Being]! I say that is a strange God anyhow—three in one, and one in three! It is a curious organization. "Father, I pray not for the world, but I pray for them which thou hast given me." "Holy Father, keep through Thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one as we are." All are to be crammed into one God, according to sectarianism. It would make the biggest God in all the world. He would be a wonderfully big God—he would be a giant or a monster. I want to read the text to you myself—"I am agreed with the Father and the Father is agreed with me, and we are agreed as one." The Greek shows that it should be agreed."
Don't confuse the members of the Godhead.

Heavenly Father of course. A father is separate from His son. Two distinct individuals. So of course life went on just fine for 9 months.

God the Father, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus did not quit being God. The Trinity? kind of like an egg - 3 distinct parts, 3 distinct roles - yet still 1 egg.
