that you really, really wanted, but your parents didn't get for you? (I'm speaking only in terms of gifts they reasonably could have obtained and afforded.) I had two - an Easy Bake Oven and a Snoopy Sno-cone machine. I think my parents had an aversion to buying things for which they would have had to continue buying MORE things (i.e. cake mixes, sno-cone syrups), in order for me to play with them. : )

That is sooooo funny. I always wanted a Snoopy Sno-cone machine too!!!!!!! Never got it and since you mentioned it that my parents probably didn't want to have to continue buying more stuff for it too!! Oh well......I still turned out okay.

I really liked Hello Kitty stationery and I never got it. But I did get a whole boatload of other good stuff. :)

I think I had the Easy Bake oven. It wasn't a lot of fun once I got it. lol

my parents were the same way when asked for items that they would have to buy extras for later on...lol....I did, however get my cabbage patch after a year of asking for one. They wanted to be sure i really wanted it. I am now a mother of 2...a toddler and a 9 yr old daughter and i get my daughter everything she asks for but as her taste get more expensive in the years coming, that could change!!

When I was three years old, I asked for a typewriter. It was the only thing I asked for. My Dad had told my mother he was not buying one, so my mother kept telling me I was not going to get one. Sure enough, on Christmas Day, I looked for that typewriter. I cried the entire day and my mother was livid with my father. So, after Christmas, she made my father go buy me a typewriter. LOL!

My grandma always wanted a red wagon as a child. For her 60th birthday my Mom got her one, she cried and was so happy. Funny I don;t remember the gifts I wanted and didn't get. I only remeber the ones I got. maybe my mom made sure to always get me what I really wanted
