If god isnt real how do most prophecies become true. And if some prophecies arent true is either becuase it hasnt happened yet or it happened but you just havent realized it. How could you understand prophecies if most of you I'm sure don't even study the bible. You cant say that is coincidence becuase the bible prophecised the twin towers crashing, that kind of coinsidence is almost impossible. If you study the bible and its prophecies you would understand it, and not say that some dont come true. It is simply that they havent happened yet. What do you think. And just to let you konw the bible also says that the great city (united states) will fall. Just keep that in mind. Alot of americans are the most stuborn in the world, alot of americans only rely in science, and most americans think that they know everything. Im just wondering what kind of answers these smart americans have to tell me. Im sure a couple might call me racist but how would you know I;m racist if you dont know me.

the book(s) of shadows, Qur'an, the devils apocrypha, or anything that was not christian. Not saying that no christain has, just a lot of questions are answered by christains as "read the bible" so i wanted to know who studied other religions and if you havnt, why not?

Will you start a movement similar to the Civil Rights Movement? Will you march up and down the streets proclaiming you want equality? Will you stage sit-ins at Christian owned resteraunts? Would you make up 'spirituals' to sing? 'We shal not beliieeevvvee.' Do you think us Christians would turn fire hoses on you, or sick attack dogs on you? Will there arise among you leaders to preach equality? Would James Randi be the equivelant of Martin Luther King Jr. in the Atheist Movement? Just something I am wondering about. (No more shall they in bondage toil. Let my people DOUBT)

I'm Christian, and I've owned the books for years. I plan on seeing the movie, and if I like it (and I expect to), I will eventually own that as well. I have no children, but if I did, I would be confident enough in my parenting to be able to answer questions (Can I say that, having none? Oh well, I did.). Do you think you won't be able to filter what you don't agree with? Do you just "not want to line atheists' pockets," as I saw on an MSNBC board? Or is it something else?

I don't intend to sound aggravated, but I kinda am. At uninformed Christians who refuse to inform themselves.

Have a nice night, anyway!

How many times have you studied the Bible?

Especially you Atheists that pull out a verse here and a verse there and try to claim it's a contradiction.

MANY people think that God forgives or overlooks anything, is that so? see what God says on the matter
(1 Corinthians 5:9-13) 9 In my letter I wrote YOU to quit mixing in company with fornicators, 10 not [meaning] entirely with the fornicators of this world or the greedy persons and extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, YOU would actually have to get out of the world. 11 But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. 12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves.”

(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes,

Do you not know that we shall judge angels? 1 Corinthians 6:3
Do you really think you will judge Jesus? Do you really think you can judge who your salvation is through?
Jesus was God in the flesh.
JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
-- the Jesus of the Bible cannot be
another "god" because God says
there is only ONE - Isa. 43:10-11
-- the Jesus of the Bible cannot be
an angel, he is contrasted against
the angels - Heb. 1:3-8
-- Jesus is not a creation, but the
Creator... the word "other" has been
inserted four times in this passage
of the JW "bible" - Col. 1:16-17

I am a Mormon and though I'm a Mormon I HATE the way the Mormons try to push me around. I get forced around in the mormon churches to go to church every Sunday, go to dances, to meetings, boy scouts, and fun. I am ignoring all of what they tell me to do, but they just won't stop or give up. MORMONS ARE SO ANNOYING!

To start with, everyone in the US has the freedom of speech. If Christians can impose their personal beliefs on others, why can't others do the same to them. How often do you hear Christians forcing their beliefs upon you? Are Christians using double standards when it comes to personal beliefs? Actually, Christians are the most intrusive of them all. Has anyone forced Christians to watch the Golden Compass the way Christians force their beliefs on others? No.

Let me tell you this, the movie is labeled as "fiction". But if the author decided to label it as "fact", he is fully entitled to it. After all, Christians claim that there Bible is "fact", and they teach the Bible to children in shool as "fact". Should Atheists boycott schools for deluding their children with Bible lessons taught as "fact"? Do Christians have the right to impose their personal beliefs on others while others don't?

Keep in mind that the Bible has Zero evidence to support it as fact!

I saw the Golden Compass last night. As a Christian, I still enjoyed the fantasy of the movie, and was not offended by anything as so many other Christians were.

A good website for concerned Christians to go and visit:
http://www.christianitytoday.com/movies/commentaries/fearnotthecompass.html

My question about the movie is:
If we cast off all "authority" and set up "free will" as the ultimate source of guidance, where will that get us? And, If the heroes accept the "truth" of the alethiometer (the compass itself), aren't they letting themselves be guided by just another source of truth—another "Authority"? But didn't the story tell us "Authority" is bad and we should only follow our own hearts?

I know it is hard for us in our human minds to fathom what life must be like in Heaven. We have a few scant descriptions from prophets and leaders who supposedly knew. Jesus said, "In my Father's house are many mansions." And I just wonder, "Well what if hanging out in some big austere mansion gets boring after a few thousand years, huh? What then?" I almost seem to empathize with Lucifer who upped and decided to try to challenge "The MAN" and started a rumble on his own. It's called boredom. Leads to ambition --sometimes when you're going stir crazy.

Then there are the Mormons who supposedly believe we all become Gods after death, if we've been good Mormons on Earth, and then we get to rule our own planet. If that's true, there must be a gazillion planets out there with life on it. Who wants to rule forever over a big ball of boiling gas or frozen cosmic crud for eternity?

Then there's Muslims and their 77 virgins thing. Wo! What a deal for the virgins! Your ideas?

Recently, someone I've gotten pretty close to called a guy a "f@g." Don't get me wrong; the guy deserved to be insulted. But the thing I don't get is, the guy that said it, is gay.

Generally, terms such as "f@g" are considered insults to homosexuals. So, I was pretty surprised when the guy said it.

Are terms such as that becoming a bit more accepted, and considered less of an insult to gays; more a generic insult?

I am struggling. And I am terrified. I can't stop getting blasphemous thought against the holy spirit. And knowing its the only unpardonable sin in existance.... I feel trapped. I keep repeating to him that ''You aren't evil... You're not evil....'' Then a thought will come and say, ''But, YES YOU ARE!'' And I just get so frustrated that I get angry and feel like I'm meant to go straight to hell. The anger resulted in me speaking against the holy spirit. But it wasn't a instrusive thought... it was from my anger! I keep saying that I wouldn't be doing this if I had it dwelling in my heart. I keep saying that I am too evil thats why I keep blaspheming. I say please change my heart. I am trapped in pride, envy, lust, and sooo many sins imaginable. I thought I used to have it because I kept hearing a little voices leading me to Jesus Cherist. But the love I felt turned to hate. If its said to be unforgivable.... then is this because the holy spirit won't defend itself? I feel hopeless...
