I am a Mormon and though I'm a Mormon I HATE the way the Mormons try to push me around. I get forced around in the mormon churches to go to church every Sunday, go to dances, to meetings, boy scouts, and fun. I am ignoring all of what they tell me to do, but they just won't stop or give up. MORMONS ARE SO ANNOYING!

they believe they will be blessed if they get you to church. (self gratification only) I would stay away or tell them you had a visitation from Joseph Smith and he told you not to join the Momo church.

Though I think you are being sarcastic, being an introvert, that's exactly how I felt about my church. When I turned 13, I flatly refused to go to Sunday school, and Sunday school social outings. First major decision of my life, and absolutely a good one. Now, I don't go to church more than once a month, and that's just to be nice to people I like. I personally have better things to do than spend four hours in one day listening to someone prattle on about how much better we Christians are than others...

A lot of religious groups are exactly like this. If a religion really is so great, there'd be no need to force it down someone's throat--and that goes for most religions, not just Mormonism.

hmm. I'm not doubting the fact that some mormons you know are pushy. But not all are. And i don't think it has to do with their religion. I think it has more to do with their upbringing.
So for people in general, when they are being too pushy I just act polite, and as nicely as possible tell them that "it's fine. i think i got it from here. But thank you! *smile*" . that type of thing.

Do you think I'm annoying? I'm a Mormon! By the way, have you tried asking them to leave you alone? My goodness! You can't go stereotyping people like that! Somebody's going to get offended! Do you want people to hate you?

Remind them of what their own book says. In the Articles of Faith, it says that each person shall be free to worship however and whomever they see fit. Also one of their big tenants is that the human mind should not be forced. No one from the LDS church should be pressuring you into doing things. They're probably just trying to be friendly and invite you... but just let them know you're not really interested.

Talk to God about this....He will guide you in the right direction. That is probably all you know concerning a church....Want to be Baptist? Pentecost, ? I'm one that does not believe the Mormon has it straight anyway....Too far off from truth as I see it.

Look at it this way once you get to where you can move out and be on your own you can tell them to push off and leave you alone .
