protestants came from us (The Catholic Church) they keep our words and titles.. just like they made up their own Rosary after they realized our TRUE Rosary given to St. Dominic from Mary OUR Mother was so amazingly awesome XD
just like then took the Truth of Catholicism and completely twisted it..
i mean even the leaders of the split believed in the True Presence and praying to the Saints

Priest is a universal word used by the bible and the churches. Reverend, Minister, Pastor...they all mean the same thing. No one religion is the "owner" of the word priest. hehe

That is because of people not understanding what it is to be a priest.
A priest offers sacrifice to God on behalf of them members of their church. No sacrifice, no real priest and no real church, then merely a group of believers who think they are in a church with a priest when really then don’t.
The Old Testament priesthood offered bullocks and lambs etc. In the New Testament we have our high priest Jesus offering himself. A valid priest unites with Christ to re-present his one sacrifice to us (in a bloodless manner) that we may be united with Christ in his one saving sacrifice (Mt 26:26-27; Mk 14:22-24; Lk 22:19-20; 1 Cor 11:24-25; Gen 14:18; Ps 110:4; Heb 7:1-17.) Having done so we may thus share in the new life of his resurrection (Jn 6:32-58.)

the word priest isn't just for catholics. The head of the Sanhedrin, the ruling Jewish council, is called the High Priest.
The meaning of priest is:
a person whose office it is to perform religious rites, and esp. to make sacrificial offerings. or
a minister of any religion.
Even some Christian denominations use the term priest for the Pastors.

Catholicism did not invent the word "priest" - the word derives from the Latin "presbyter".
