when he said faith without works is dead?

2007-12-06 06:49:36 · 5 answers · asked by Anonymous in Religion & Spirituality

First of all, Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism. Most people know that already. It also steals ideas from 3 other religions. God impregnating a virgin is a rip of the Greek God Zeus. Zeus did this several times. Greek mythology was around long before Christianity. Jesus himself is a direct rip off the Zoroastrian Mithras. Mithras was born in December 25th and was also born to a virgin. Mithras raised the dead, healed the sick, and cast out demons. Mithras returned to Heaven at the spring equinox, but before doing so, he had a last meal with his 12 disciples who all represented the 12 signs of the Zodiac. The meal was bread and wine. Zoroastrianism was around long before Christianity. Jesus's death-revival-ascent to ascent to Godhood is a rip off of Egyptian God Osiris was murdered, resurrected, and then ascended to Godhood. Egyptian mythology was around long before Christianity. And Christians claim that their God is the only God that was not man made. Ha

I remember reading and answer from a mormon saying that he was a martyr and that he submitted to his enemies even though he was the commander of the most powerful army in Illinois.

On the other hand, I've read that he was the major of Nauvoo and he had a newspaper press destroyed because the first and only issu was very antagonistic towards him. He was imprisoned for this and it was then that his enemies asaulted the building where he was captive and died during the attack.

Is there an official document online that narrates the story according to the C. of J.C. of L.D.S.?

I am a supervisor. I have not yet seen a person admit they messed up and say they are sorry and go on about their business. They tend to blow up and blame someone else or put it off on me like I am picking on them. What do I say, I busted you and you knew better? What would you do to make it go smoother?

They live above me, & all you hear them do is have sex, argue, & fight. I mainly hear the guy yelling & I hear lots of stumping & thumping. I get terrified & wonder if I should call the cops. I don't want that woman getting hurt.

Yesterday I was harassed by two girls that I never even met before. I was in line at school getting my lunch and they started to jiggle my backpack. They told me that I should my sh*t inside, not on the outside pockets. They were cussing and treating me as if I did something wrong to them. Everytime I would defend myself they would harass me more.

What are the best ways to avoid and or get out of confrontational situations at school?

What evidence do we have against a creator that started the life of the first single-celled organism and then left us alone/studies us/ignores us?

A creator that started the big bang?

As far-fetched as this is, do we have evidence against it?

Fundie Creationists, don't answer please.

Agnostics may support, and I expect Atheists to give reason against it.

so many of these so-called prophecies that i'm reading over, don't really seem to be prophecies at all. they seem more to be just comments about an event which is current to the time of the particular story that was written. are we to take it that every single instance where text in the old testament is loosely (and i stress the word loosely) coincidental to text in the new testament it should be considered prophecy?

I have had 3 basic questions removed. Nothing bad said in them. Do not understand. One was does anyone have the Crosley CR249 USB turntable to rip records to CD's...totally legal.

The other one is does anyone Jewish or knowledgable in the Jewish faith know how the Star of David became a symbol of faith for the Jews like the cross is to Christians. Again nothing judgemental. I love the Jewish people I just wanted to know about the Star of David cannot find that info and I have studied alot.

So can anyone see why these were removed even before they got 1 answer?

There are tons of am I pregant, does he love me. What size my *** is etc.. Those stay. My straighforward serious ones get deleted. ?????

Brenda O'Malley is home as usual, making dinner, when Tim Finnegan arrives at her door. "Brenda, may I come in?" he asks. "I've somethin' to tell ye." "Of course you can come in, you're always welcome, Tim. But where's my husband?""That's what I'm here to be tellin' ye, Brenda. There was an accident down at the Guinness brewery...""Oh, God no!" cries Brenda. "Please don't tell me...""Sure and I must, Brenda. Your husband Seamus is dead and gone. I'm sorry." Brenda reached a hand out to her side, found the arm of the rocking chair by the fireplace, pulled the chair to her and collapsed into it. She wept for many minutes. Finally she looked up at Tim. "How did it happen, Tim?""It was terrible, Brenda. He fell into a vat of Guineas Stout and drowned.""Oh my dear Jesus! But you must tell me true, Tim. Did he at least go quickly?""Well, no Brenda......no.""No?""Fact is, he got out three times to pee."

Why or why not?

I got a great book off ebay called "santa are you for real?"

I will either read this to my kids when they stop believing in santa, or read it to them early on and not do santa, but we can still surprise them with gifts..............I'm just not sure what to do.
Both my family and husband's did santa with us and of course we're all fine, but I just keep thinking I may not want to do it....

I'm taking Jesus as my 1st round pick. The other side has had him long enough and he's been just riding the pine.

I'll make a play for Buddha in the second round - he will make an awesome spiritual full back (the fat Buddha, not the skinny version).

I may take Mohamed as a tight end, not sure yet.
