My level of complaining has if anything lessened with age.
And, what is NORMEL anyway?

I know what your meaning is .... but, truly it's relative to our own personal belief system!

My closest co-workers are 20 and 30 years younger than I am, and they complain WAY more than I do! One is always feeling "sick," and the other always has pain somewhere. That's fine, but I just keep my mouth shut!

When I do complain, it's mainly about the traffic, or money, and I don't even do that at work. Yes, I do complain, Just not about my health.

My kids are in their 30's and they complain all the time about how busy they are (they both have people to do their housework and ironing !) . My young workmates complain endlessly about how hard the work is - I'm 58 and manage to do it with a smile ! I'm just glad I can still work !

I actually don't think that complaining is anything to do with age - its more to do with expectations. If your expectations are high and you don't attain them, you complain. If you are more philosophical, you don't. Both conditions are perfectly normal.

I have officially arrived at the "Curmudegon" age, the one where the neighbor's kids running around screaming and yelling moves you to go to the furthest room in your house and close out the sound...and I complain about traffic, driving, shopping, etc; in other words, I've become a real PITA.

Like several others, I'm not a complainer. Funny, how it seems the youth of today take so many things for granted and when they don't happen they way the want, all they do is complain. I just say c'est la vie!

Why do you think it is normal for elders to complain? I don't complain and none of my friends do either BUT a lot of young people complain all the time.

I only complain if there is a need to, I don't do it for fun or because I just feel like it.
