Be honest now!! Even I have done this a time or two! They were very nice things, just things I had no use for...

And, yes I have gotten back gifts from the exact person I had given the gift to! My Adoptive Mother did this... we laughed so hard... now I only give her things I would like to get back... lol

I never return a gift and often regift if it is a nice item I cannot use or do not need. There is nothing wrong with that.

I do it a lot. I get things I have no room for or can't use. Nice gifts, just not my cup of tea. I just need to be careful not to give it back to the person who gave it to me in the first place. My memory's not the best. I try to put a post-it note on it telling me who gave it to me. That helps.

No, I don't regift, I keep it. Funny though, I received a stainless steel bowl as a wedding gift, but because of the shape, I thought it was a dog feeding bowl, so I wrote a thank you note to the person. I did think it ws a bit strange because we didn't have a dog Turns out it was a "tip" proof bowl...not a dog dish, LOL

Yes, and I have been doing it for years. But, as a joke . . . my sister gave me a bottle of Jean Nate Body Splash in 1974. She knew I didn't like that stuff, so a few years later I came across it and gave it back to her as part of her birthday gift. Well, long story short, it has gone back and forth between us for over 30 years now. Guess what's going to be part of her Christmas present this year!?!?

I gave my friend a sweater last year for Christmas that I thought was really nice. In fact I bought myself the same sweater only in a different color. During the summer she was cleaning out her closet when I was there and she told me I can pick out the sweaters that she didnt want because she didnt like them. She gave me a bag full, and yes, the sweater that I bought her was in there. I took it and still have it. I didnt say anything to her though. I dont think she remembered that I gave her that one.

I've never done that, mainly because I can't keep track of an unwanted gift from one year to another. I either lose it or give it way. Sometimes I find them in odd places where I stashed them.

If I get a gift I can't use I usually just give it to someone who I know will enjoy it. If I don't know of anyone who can use it I donate it to a church bazaar or something along that line.

If I can't use the gift, I donate it to Goodwill or the Salvation
Army, perhaps someone else would love it. That is, if it
can't be exchanged.
