Let's say that Jesus were to come to earth on a 100-day visit and would go to various stadiums, since it would probably be the only place big enough to hold the people who wanted to hear him...

Would you go?

Would he visit Notre Dame Stadium?

I think that confining a man in solitare forever is really the cruel & unusual punishment. when a person has commited 3 or more violent crimes, you'd have to reason that he must be guilty for at least 2 this sort of person doesn't belong in society, After it was God who instuted the death penality
(Genesis 9:5-6) . . .And, besides that, YOUR blood of YOUR souls shall I ask back. From the hand of every living creature shall I ask it back; and from the hand of man, from the hand of each one who is his brother, shall I ask back the soul of man. 6 Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed, for in God’s image he made man.

That doesn't feel it's appropriate to congratulate a 16 year old for her pregnancy?

One girl here announced it and the overwhelming response was basically shouts for joy.

What's wrong here?

Martha complained that her husband, George, was just getting too old and listless. She suggested that he go to the doctor for a checkup and see if the doctor could give him something to pep him up. George went to the doctor and when he got home he was a different man. He chased his wife around the house and couldn't get her to bed often enough. Martha was worn out. She thought, "This is too good to be true. I'm going to the doctor and see if he can do something for me." George drove his wife to the doctor's office and waited while she went in to see the doctor. Martha said to the doctor, "What did you tell my husband. He is like a new man." The doctor said, "Well, I don't know. I gave him a checkup but I don't remember saying anything that would change him like that." She said, "Well, he's right out here in the waiting room. You ask him. George came into the office. The doctor said, "What did I say to you that gave you so much energy?" George said, "You said be cheerful. You have a hot mama!" The doctor said. "Oh, no! I said, be careful. You have a heart murmur!"

...they'd be happy with that? Or do you think they'd next try to force gay people into 'treatment' to 'cure' their homosexuality, like they tried to force Michael Schiavo to keep his wife 'alive'?

To what extremes do you think fundamentalists would go in regards to gays?

I work for a company with offices aound the world.

In order to attend the local office's company Christmas Party, I just found out we are being charged and if we are bringing a guest their ticket is $5.

I've *NEVER* had to contribute to the cost of any company parties at any other company.

Have you ever had to chip in? Is it common to make employees pay to enter parties?

Many people take the scripture at 2 pe 3:13 to mean that, but that contradicts what God says about the earth & Destroying all life like he did during the flood

(Genesis 8:21) . . . “Never again shall I call down evil upon the ground on man’s account, because the inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up; and NEVER AGAIN SHALL i DEAL EVERY LIVING THING a blow JUST AS I HAVE DONE

Or think about the destruction told about at Jer 25:31-33 or

(Revelation 19:17-18) . . .I saw also an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice and said to all the birds that fly in midheaven: “Come here, be gathered together to the great evening meal of God, 18 that YOU may eat the fleshy parts of kings and the fleshy parts of military commanders and the fleshy parts of strong men . . .

so since the Birds will eat the corpses, the Fire would be metaphoric

I am looking for a reasonably brief description of the Catholic religion, beliefs etc. I have been told that in many ways it is very similar to being Anglican.
Is this correct
