For me, it was like opening a bag of vegetables. What use are clothes to a child on Christmas morning? Thankfully, my parents realised their mistake with me, so that my younger brothers didn't have to face matching hat and gloves, socks and underwear beneath the Christmas tree.

: )

If Adam and Eve were the first ones on the planet, then who did their children marry ? No Bible verses or anything like that, please, just explain in your own words.

The personal experience of God is often cited as proof of His existence. ("I know God exists because I have felt him in my heart")

So, here's my question, can you give three examples of experiences that people have honestly felt that have turned out to be mistakes, misinterpretation or simply imaginary?

I'll give you my three:

Racing to the hospital after experiencing a heart attack, only to find out you never had one (maybe it was gas or a cramp)

Reporting a UFO sighting to the newspaper, only to find out later it was a hot air ballons or swamp gas.

Scared out of your wits from a creaking noise in the attack, only to find out later it was an open window and a gust of wind.

How do you find it? How faithful would you consider your witness to be? Are you sharing God's way of salvation through Christ with any of your work colleagues at present?

Sharings, please?

God bless you.

If he has the guts to open up to you in the first place, would you mind in having one? That means you would be having a polygamy relationship. Would you accept?

I have just brought a pumpkin for halloween (not to eat to just make into a face) but halloween isn't for nearly 2 weeks so was wondering where is the best place to store it to keep it fresh, its to big for the fridge so should I put it in a dark cupboard or doesn't it matter, do they stay fresh for quite some time? Thanks in advance

how you see a country without law or president?
how can you see a world without law?
isn't the God our king, and the Holy book our law?

"Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife." (I Samuel 18:27)
Why on earth would you want 200 foreskins?

I really don't get why Christians assume that their god is so vain that doubting his existence is such a huge abomination.

Seriously, why would this god send people to hell for eternal suffering just for having rational doubt?

Your god sends NO evidence to show that he exists... so would he really care if people are skeptical and using science and reason to come to their conclusions?

And anyway, if we are skeptics.. aren't we just using the brain that YOUR god gave us?

So people go to hell for thinking... why?

It seems to me that believers would be more anarchist in nature, and that for many, their belief in God is the thin string that separates them from acting on those impulses.

If it were proven today, beyond the shadow of a doubt to anyone, that there is and always has been a supreme being, I could see Christians gloating and being quite smug, while my fellow atheists graciously accept defeat. Evidence is all most of us require to believe (not worship - believe).

However, if it were proven today, beyond the shadow of a doubt to anyone, that there was, never has been, and never will be a supreme being, I could see my fellow atheists, while probably being quite smug, accepting the fact that they already believe to be true.

Believers, on the other hand, I could see wigging out. Bad. I'm talking about Watts, Reginald Denny, etc. I don't think many Christians could handle the very thought, let alone the reality of there being no god. The result? Anarchy.

Thoughts?

I've been reading this statement in a number of RC responses to questions. They're not saying a representative of Christ, but actually Christ.

Without outing anybody, here's one quote: "The Pope is Christ on earth to us Catholics, he is infallible IN MATTERS OF RELIGION."

Could somebody please tell me if that is a doctrine or core belief? And if it is, at what point does he become Christ - at birth or when he is elected to the office?

Thank you.

There are Muslims who die of martyrdom believing that in “Paradise”, Allah will reward them of 72 virgins. I assume that the martyrs are male and the virgins, female. How about female martyrs, what will they receive? 72 virgin males?

According to the Holy Spirit we talk to, there are still males and females in the spiritual world but there are no more genitals for males, and for females, not only genitals but also what He called the “twin mountains”. I believe this revelation of the Holy Spirit is logically correct. Otherwise, it may cause sex problems like what is happening on earth now. Sex on earth should be used primarily for procreation and for the husband and wife solely.

So, could Muslims please cite where in the Qur’an can one find this rewarding for martyrdom?

When you are in fact pointing out errors in their literalist outlook. Shouldn't they be grateful that you are hoping they will be lead to a more healthy view of God, not one that characterises other people as 'unsaved' or 'heathen?'
And please don't say that 'the Bible calls them that' because God never once delegated the authority to anyone on earth to say who is 'in' and who is 'out.' Why do they assume constructive criticism of their particular interpretation is an insult to their religion, as though they alone were the true interpreters of it?
