For me, it was like opening a bag of vegetables. What use are clothes to a child on Christmas morning? Thankfully, my parents realised their mistake with me, so that my younger brothers didn't have to face matching hat and gloves, socks and underwear beneath the Christmas tree.

: )

Yes it was horrible. In fairness my parents never had much cash so toys as such were considered to be a waste of money. I had toys but rarely so far as I can remember from my parents. You would be suprised what strange things can become ships aeroplanes cars etc.

It is about the technology really nowadays. There is the Nintendo DS which has been on the go a couple of years now but no kid would say no to. If you've got more money then the PS3 or Xbox 360 would also go down a treat. Those wireless Rabbit shaped things Nabaztag or something from PC world are also a bit of a craze.

I always hated that! One year I was about 5 years old and my aunt got me these overalls. I almost started crying! My parents didn't change their ways with my sister though. She still gets clothes for Christmas. When she does, she isn't excited at all.

I was the same, except myself and my sister always got matching pink and blue jumpers (usually itchy) and I always ended up with the blue...I was a girl, I wanted pink, but she always got it!

Thankfully, times have changed, and I now love getting clothes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Christian Louboutins this year. Santa probably won't deliver, though...

I liked getting clothes on Christmas. My parents and other relatives asked what stores we liked, and so it was easy. We got other things too, not just clothes. It was a nice balance.

i liked getting clothes at christmas. they were usually clothing items we really couldn't afford (like $80 pairs of used and guess jeans). my oldest son, who is 13, loves getting clothes too. he usually gets abercrombie, which he normally doesn't so he looks forward to it. my youngest on the other hand would rather have toys.

be grateful for what you get because there are plenty of kids in this world who get nothing.

I'd say its acceptable if its not merely something the parents would have bought for the child anyways... ie. Expensive running shoes or designer jeans etc. if thats what they want... those items that you would not get otherwise...

To me, it is okay to have clothes for Christmas presents, it means additional clothes who knows if it is well appreciated many nice things apart from clothes can come once way through the same person, so please be cool and cheers it is well( In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus)
