Don't they use the quran also? Do they just take it literally word for word? Are you supposed to or are you not supposed to take it serious? I have heard it is very violent.

Terrorist believe in Islamic Jihad which means holy war. They are against anyone who apposes Islam, such as the Jews in Israel who control the Holy Land. Since the US backs Israel by supplying money, weapons, and military training the US is considered the enemy as well. We are helping Israel to control the Holy Land that has been fought over for the past 3000 years.

Which ones? The Zionist terrorists who bombed airports believed in the need for a Jewish state. They got it.
The Umkhonto We Sizwe terrorists believed in the overthrow of the white racist minority government in South Africa. They got it.
The Irish Republican Army terrorists believed in a united Catholic Ireland. They didn't get it, but they were brought into the political process instead.
The Al Qaeda terrorists believe in a united Arab World under Sharia, and the expulsion of infidels from Arab lands. They haven't got it yet, but the actions of their enemies have enormously increased their popularity, scope and funding.
Every 'terrorist' is a 'freedom fighter' to somebody. It just depends whose side you're on.

The only known and real terrorists which killed and keep killing thousands upon thousands of innocent civilian people in Iraq are in the White House. There are no other terrorists only an imaginary ones. Remember when you were a little kid and your mother was telling you if you will not behave yourself well, cookie monster will come and will get you. You were frightened right? But did cookie monster ever showed up...?

You need to first define "terrorist". Unfortunately, President Bush has made the words 'terrorist' and 'Muslim' one in the same and that isn't the case. There are "terrorists" in every country and from all walks of life. You don't have to be Middle Eastern to be a terrorist, nor does being Middle Eastern automatically mean you are a terrorist or extremist.

They believe that they are the only right people and all the world should be like they want, either muslims or non-muslims. They are enemies of Islam as we see their current actions in Pakistan.

All Terrorists aren't Muslin first of all.
I believe a terrorist is someone who does what he/she does for 2 reasons......
they've taken their beliefs to the extreme
they live in a world with awful poverty and no control over their lives because of their government.

Some (like 911) use the Koran, and others (Like Oklahoma City and Atlanta) use the Bible. It arises from reading in a Fundamentalistic way. In my opinion, when you try to get "law" too involved in spirituality you end up less for it. Dogma is weaker than meditation.

The Koran, Torah, and the Bible all have the same books in them. The Old Testament. Basically the fight is about the name of God.
