Ok well i live in northern irland and in NI guess who gets blamed for alot of bad stuff that happens??
TEENAGERS!!
I do not think it is fair for them to stereotype teenagers. If i am going down town to shop the shop workers and older people shopping always stay well away from the teenagers in that shop and now they even have little boxes outside there shop and it creates a horrible piercing noise that only teenagers can hear because we hear at a different decibellity and it is very sore on your ears. They ar only supposed to use this if there is a gang outside your shop about to do something and i admit it might be hard to tell if they are going to do something or not. I would never do anyhing bad and target a shop or anything and if i stand outside a shop they ut that stupid nooise on.
Also on the news there is alot of stuff like fires etc... and as soon as the story comes out on the news guess who they blame... TEENAGERS.

What are your views on teenage stereotyping!?

Yes I am the accomplice, and yes, I know it wasn't nice but please, PLEASE remain calm and assertive. (Those who want a second lick feel free to)

Although originally the task was to see which group used the most reasoning, we feel that we didn't achieve anything because there were so many factors we did not account for. One thing is people probably felt it was easier to type short slanders then explaining their beliefs in long answers and also probably didn't feel obliged to answer such an obnoxious question, and speaking of slanders, well, this is YA, not a science conference, so we really couldn't expect anything more. :D

which all say they have the only path to god. doesn't that mean they do in fact cancel each other out.

so that there is no path to god or he doesn't exist.
unless,of course all paths lead to god.

ie christianity says jesus is the only way. so that removes all other religions.
judaism says jesus was not the son of god. so that removes christianity. etc etc.
they can't all be right, in that case none of them are right.
whats your view?

see if you can answer without quoting the bible.

What do you think of the idea of teaching children about a wide range of world views (both religious and non-religious) and then allowing them to make their own decisions about what they want to believe as teenagers or adults?
Would this be an improvement on the current traditions?
Why/why not?

In India lots of Christian Ashrams in the style as ancient hindu ashrams are sprouting..Christian Swamis and Sanyasis are frequently seen every where..wearing robes as ancient sanyasis, growing long beard, building ashrams as ancient days....It is useless to tell the missionaries that Hindu sâdhanâ has nothing to do with building some stylised houses, exhibiting pretentious signboards, putting on a particular type of dress, and performing certain rituals in a particular way Hindu sâdhanâ has been and remains a far deeper and difficult undertaking. It means being busy with one's own self rather than with saving others It means clearing the dirt and dross within one's own self rather than calling on others to swear by a totem trotted out as the only saviour It has no place for superstitions like atoning death of a chirst Above all it is not consistent with double-talk-harbouring one motive in the heart and mouthing another A counterfeit must remain a counterf howsoever lavishly advertised

One of the biggest wastes in our society is our addiction to single use disposable items. How can we get people to bring their own cups when they get their coffee/juice? How do we get people to bring their own bags when they go to the store? How to we get people to bring their own tupperware for leftovers when they go out?

Thats a horrible lie. We are all born atheist, without a belief in the world. Then as we grow our parents brainwash us into their religion, then the select few who get a good education, question this blind belief and realise what a scam it is.

Please Muslims take this idea and chuck it in the bin

1 Corinthians 1:18-31 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (19) For it is written, "I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE." (20) Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (21) For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. (22) For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; (23) but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, (24) but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. (25) Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. (26) For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; (27) but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, (28) and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, (29) so that no man may boast before God. (30) But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, (31) so that, just as it is written, "LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD." 2:1-14 And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. (2) For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. (3) I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, (4) and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, (5) so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. (6) Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; (7) but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; (8) the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; (9) but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." (10) For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. (11) For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. (12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, (13) which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. (14) But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. (NASB)

My greatest pet-peeve is when your trying to tell someone something, no matter how important or trivial and they try to guess what you'll end the sentence with. For example: I was trying to get my car.....And before you finish the person your talking to jumps in with "Started?" NO WASHED!!! I get so PO'D because there are people who do this ALL the time. Do you know of a good way to break them of this habid? My only defense to this is to jump right back at them and say "This isn't a GD game show, or a fastest finger contest.

It's becoming more evident that the religions were invented by humans (possibly with good intention) to keep our societies together, or for political gains such as keeping the masses together to wage war or to control them through fear.

As such, many of the Holy scriptures are inventions by humans and many religions scriptures or teaching contain a "clause" daring people to "seek" or "learn" and promising them that they will "find". (This is not only in Christianity, but Islam and other religions also has similar teaching).

Was this a hint by for all who seek, with a free and religiously uncorrupted mind that they will find that there is no rationality reason to believe in God!?

Rom 9:18 Therefore, God has mercy on whomever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomever he chooses.

Rom 9:19 You may ask me, "Then why does God still find fault with anybody? For who can resist his will?"

Rom 9:20 On the contrary, who are you-mere man that you are-to talk back to God? Can an object that was molded say to the one who molded it, "Why did you make me like this?"

Now i get the logic of the first 2 verses --its basically predestination. But the response in the last verse doesn't make sense to me, i mean it doesnt answer the predes question at all.
---If you think you know what is Paul saying, please explain in plain english.
