It's becoming more evident that the religions were invented by humans (possibly with good intention) to keep our societies together, or for political gains such as keeping the masses together to wage war or to control them through fear.

As such, many of the Holy scriptures are inventions by humans and many religions scriptures or teaching contain a "clause" daring people to "seek" or "learn" and promising them that they will "find". (This is not only in Christianity, but Islam and other religions also has similar teaching).

Was this a hint by for all who seek, with a free and religiously uncorrupted mind that they will find that there is no rationality reason to believe in God!?

I disagree. You have a faulty presupposition. You're assuming that everybody has the exact same cognitive faculties, and will arrive at the exact same conclusion at the end of their search.
Some people are smarter than others. Some people will see God in everything. It really depends on the person. So no, not all, but probably most of the intelligent ones.

well, there is nothing to prove or disprove god really. i dont capitalize that as you may have noticed hehehe.

i mean on one hand, youve got everything in the world that we cant explain, and cookies dont get baked till we make them, so theoretically its possible that something made us, but who knows what that somethings intentions were really, or the limits of their powers.

for all we know the creator could have simply existed to create us, the way an ant just goes here and there collecting things. thats all itll ever do. maybe old homo-erectus took a spiked club and killed the creator LOL.

on the other hand weve got only the natural scientific method to find out the things that we DO know. this isnt sufficient to tell us where we came from at this point. i mean we can break it down with evolution, but im talking about the spark of life, the animation of personality.

those scriptures started off with good messages, trying to establish order and fairness, using love. then of course some asshole decided to "make some money or gain some power on it" and started manipulating things.

i wouldnt say its irrational to believe in god, since we ourselves possess the ability to create new species of plants and other organisms, it could be assumed that something created us for one reason or another. the stupid part is believing that the bible or koran is actually the word of god.

its a book people, its old, and full of stuff that was written to establish order in a certain time and a certain place, and unless you strip it down to like 7 of the 10 commandments, it really isnt anything more spectacular than a philosophy textbook.

those books could have come from anywhere, and been written by anyone. LOL, i love how i can say all this on here and not get punched in the face by some neanderthal religious zealot. we both know it would happen.

didnt mohammed like, wander into the mountains and get a message to god, but since he was illiterate he had to get someone else to transcribe it for him. if he was illiterate, he would never have known if the scribe wrote down the actual message or a bunch of stuff to further his own agenda. LOL, same thing with the bible, its just a collection of books written by a collection of people. who knows where the info came from.

i just hope when we die we dont get gyped and end up just becoming worm food. it would be sweet if everyone was judged fairly based on their karma or whatever. lol, then again, this world is pretty irrational and chaotic, it would suck if an afterlife was the same.

I think the invitation to seek in order to find was put into the scriptures of various religions for a good reason. Everything contains even the smallest particle of truth, and the invitation to ask what is right constitutes a very profound piece of truth that is essential to a good religion. A good religion doesn't require its members to have faith and not even ask God about it.

I respect your assertion that religions were invented by humans, but in part I disagree wholeheartedly. There are religions that have half-truths, religions that are currently following principles that were decided in councils of people with no authority to meet as a governing religious body. In other words, parts of most all religions are inventions of humans, or sometimes even spawned by the devil (no offense, but the devil can tempt anyone). The devil wouldn't just tell you straight off to assert a falsehood as a truth in church, he'd have to convince you that it wasn't false first.

There is a God but over the ages humans have corrupted what He has said for their own benefit and power, like the early catholics. (Not saying anything about present-day Catholics, you are all really nice people.) But, you raise a good argument. If I didn't have such strong beliefs I would probably agree with what you are saying because I am that kind of person.

I have read your question and the answers that you have received so far - and as always I'm saddened by those who know nothing of what they are talking about!

I spent 34 years of my life as a coward (cameleon who could agree with everyone and offend no one), it got me into a terrible mess! I cried out to Jesus and He Answered my call, since then He has consistently worked on enabling me to be an 'Overcomer'! I am no longer afraid to have an opinion of my own (hence this email) and to state it openly!

I was brought up in a Christian family, when my Grandfather died it became a 'nominal' one (hatch/match/despatch). I hadn't paid Jesus any attention - except maybe at Christmas - so there was no reason for Him to Answer my call!

He has turned my life upside down, back to front and inside out, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!! I can honestly say that if I had to choose between an easy life without Jesus and the life I have with Him in it, there would be no contest!

As for the old chestnut about 'religion' causing wars... that is a load of balloney! If you took 'religion' out of the equation those people would find another reason for their bloodletting because THEY are violent minded people!

I am NOT controlled by fear, but by LOVE, my love for Jesus and His Love for me! I simply don't want to cause Him any more pain than He Suffered already for me on The Cross!

I am in complete control of my faculties at all times and am not afraid to live by faith! I try to bring something of Jesus' Love, Beauty, Hope and Peace every day into a world filled with greed, bitterness, hatred and violence! If I leave this world and find that I am wrong (which I know I'm not - Jesus LIVES) what is wrong with having tried to make it a better place not add to the corruption in it that drives so many people?

This is my choice and you have yours and that is up to you, please have respect for those of us who are willling to stand up and be counted - just as we try to respect your views!

Well that would suggest that God defined. which would in itself casts doubt on its existence because for us to define God would suggest we understood the major aspects of such thing and would limit God and prevent God from being what man would like God to represent so dont believe in a "God" so much as a divinity because life is divine

When you feel that real sense of emptiness and despair do you not ask yourself there must be something more to life than this? you have only the comforts of this material world which will pass us all by then what comfort or use is it to us when we die. Seek ye first the kingdom of God! if you seek you will find it may take some patience God works in mysterious ways and he isnt bound by time like we are. If you perservere you will be find. God is there for all of us, God is love and still loves you whether you choose to believe in his existance or not.

God did not create humans. Humans created God. If you seek God with a logic and proof you will find that he does not exist. He exists only in people's mind. People are brainwashed with religion in their childhood. Later, some realize absurdities in religious scripts.

not at all......god is allowing people to seek because he wants them to prove that everything is true. it never started as "religion". re;ligon is indeed man made. the truth.... the history behind it is something completely different. god knew we were intelligent and would question and scientifically trie to prove things wrong...but...need i remind you that it still hasnt been proven.

another thought what if youre right...... if its true ther is no god...that the crown of thorns is no more than folklore that must be told.... you lose nothing... maybe are ridiculed.....but there is nothing wrong with leading a good...righteous lifestyle... but what if YOURE WRONG......you lose everything....what if there was more...hope you never dreamed of and you threw it out the window in your empty meaningless life. you screwed yourself over. so whats wrong with beliving?

besides.... it real. true.

faith does not incredibly have something to do with God. faith is in basic terms a team of like-minded people amassing jointly who have faith in the comparable component. Now, faith is important to hold in the misplaced and persons who have not heard approximately God, so faith is often necessary, just to not locate God. God is often right here with us, no rely what. i've got faith He does seek for us out by skill of appearing good issues in our lives, yet it is likewise as much as us to settle for the duty and present that God is giving us. so which you will desire to truly answer your question, i've got faith it is going the two procedures incredibly, yet in the top, it incredibly is our acceptable determination to the two be with Him or not.
