Isn't it safe to say that there are people who have 'converted' both directions between christianity and atheism? Isnt it also reasonable to assume we could find people of equal IQ having done so? So.. what does intelligence and reason have to do with anything or ... would we need to COUNT the number that go each way and THAT would determine what is true?

I suspect that we believe what we believe 'cause we just do.

There is NEVER a decent answer. All healings are equal: if cancer can be cured, so can a mastectomy. If sight can be restored, so can an amputated leg. So whats the problem? Is it that the person doesn't need those body parts, or is it simply that it is impossible, because these things can't resolve themselves? Cancer can go into remission, various visual problems can be resolved, but more often they are faked, or not medically diagnosed to begin with.
Whatever answers anyone comes up with, I'll bet my life savings that science will clone and transplant a limb before one gets miracled back. My money is safe.

I have heard that the death of an atheist is devasting for them, because they have no comfort, nothing to hold on to, no hope in eternal life in Christ. It's like a cartoon I saw of an atheist"s tombstone that read: All dressed up and no where to go!

In the Bible version of Adam and Eve, Eve chose to eat the forbidden fruit and then gave it to Adam and he ate it as well.

What do you think would have happened if Eve had eaten and Adam had refused? And why do you think Adam also ate the fruit (he didn't have the Serpent tempting him).

if you tried it out, how did your experience go? what happened? if you didn't try it, don't comment please. i have tried it, and i will never, ever ever ever try it again.

my last experience was, i was with three cousins, it spelled out one of their names, and spelled out DUI, then it spelled out DIE and skribbled around so fast that we couldn't keep our hands on it. that was it for me.

Liberals went crazy the other day, when O'Reilly was attending a dinner with Al Sharpton at a largely black restaurant. During his remarks, O'Reilly said that, while the media promotes the image of rappers as the dominant black culture, the event was basically the same as events he attended with white audiences. He was of course making the point that the differences between white and black culture is not, or should not, be as drastic as suggested by rappers and other racists.

Then John Edwards, pandering shamelessly to the very division between white and black O'Reilly was trying to minimize, said that one day all the young black men in America would be dead or in prison. Apparently, the only way to stop this tragedy is to... elect John Edwards as President.

What we have seen in the last week is a conservative (independent, he says) trying awkwardly but earnestly to bridge racial divisions, and a radical (Democrat, he says) blatantly manipulating racial tension. Who's racist?

Why should a widely held belief without evidence be any more respected than an individual's beliefs without evidence?

If the U.S. Justice system does not properly punish criminals, and many receive lesser sentences or go free, is there really any justice for victims? I doubt any of us are really safe.

Then they send them to worldly counsellors and worldly shelters? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiK0tuxVL7hqRMB1Z2s2YsTd7BR.;_ylv=3?qid=20070928193456AASVzLG
I do not understand this. I was abused, I was sent to the YWCA by my pastor.....there I was surrounded by gay people and given all kinds of crazy advice............wouldn't it be better to pray for people and ask God if he joined this marraige together than to just say "Oh if you are abused go to a shelter?" You are sending Christians who want Christian guidance to the world because you don't know what to say to them? You assume all marraiges with a piece of paper are from God and that the scriptures about divorce apply to those people??? How do you know that? who knows the mind of God and who has been his counsellor? Would you have chastized Jesus for picking wheat on Sunday like the Pharisees did? He WAS breaking the LAW you know!!! If you have not lived an abusive situation I suggest silence.

The miss South Carolina incident has many people saying that the US is getting stupider by the second, and I think this confirms it

I'm currently attending a university, and it's pretty funny at first watching what happened to her, but not knowing what year the 9/11 attacks happened is pathetic. Most people in other countries know that.

Is anybody else worried about this whole beauty-over-brain trend that we see today?

Is it a trend, something that'll pass? Or is it something more serious?

I need jokes that do not have a copywrite, in other words, are completely legal to use. I am not using them for sales purposes, but a project. It is preferable that it is not a highly common joke. Any sources of information on any jokes like this? Thanks.

Example there is this jerk who just made Captain over the past several weeks and the paper says he is a gentlmen when he isn't. He is anything but a gentlemen.

What do we look for in a true Christian church?

I have recently read some very bad experiences from new believers.

What would you look for in a church body that you can back up with scriptural references?

What are the marks of a true Christian church?
What does their doctrine look like and what do their services and activities include?

Can you describe your church and biblically support why you are attending your particular denomination of Christianity?

The USA is liberal and the manufacturing company for homosexuality and perversion, but they still believe in God in a real way. On the contrary, GB seems to be indifferent to a real move of God. The people live as if there is no God. They are very liberal in their way of thinking. Those who are church goers often attend the Anglican Church. Few are acutally Catholic, for which is a plus. There are full gospel churches branching up here and there, but it still maintains its Godless mindset. Some of the greatest ministers that ever lived came from there, so it does not add up. People like Elton John, which is the same as our Rosie O'Donnell, are usually the norm. Witchcraft and earth worshipping is seen as normal. Why have this nation turn its back on God?
