We are seeing the artificial Douglas Adams, not the real one God had in mind when He created him.

When parents hold a tiny baby, they are full of hopes and dreams for what that child can become. God wants good for each of us in the same way. But we have a choice... and Douglas has made choices which have led him away from the One Who knows him and loves him most.

See Psalm 139.

Oh, is Douglas Adams' God the same one who came up with the immortal answer of 42?
There might be such a god out there -- you never know; but so far if we have uncovered any evidence pointing to that, the scientists haven't realized it yet.

Meh... I like Douglas Adams a lot... I think he's a brilliant writer and I've read the entire series, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to seriously follow everything he says.

Douglas Adams is one of the legion of prophets to whom fill the never-ending book of prophets, contradictory of terms, and is to be praised twenty times a day, forty hours on weekends, and while taking a cold bath while eating lemon cake with a plastic fork... while humming the theme song from an old sixties television show that was only aired once but influenced an entire colony of solitary land-geese to floss their toes.

Monotheism did exist in the Egyptian culture. "The God with no face". This religion was done away with, in favour of Sun worship, because the priests were exacting far too much influence. As to the Adam and Eve story; they are the founders of the middleeastern peoples of blood group "B" which is very closely related to the gorilla blood group. Central Euopeans, who make up the majority of the western peoples, are blood group "A" with the nearest animal being the dog. The ancient people and their decendants are blood group "O" and have no near animal blood group. So today we can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the bible was only written for the people of the middleeast, and the Europeans have stolen it and by some wierd thinking they think it applies to them!!

The artificial one is the one people believe in. Because there isn't a "real" god.

Okay. But where did the artificial god come from? Interesting.

There are artificial gods, man made them up.

I think the idea that man or machines created their own AI god would make for many science fiction stories.

I think that that is interesting... I have always thought that man created God in mans image. The "God" that is perpetuated by many people is judgemental, hateful (ex: homosexuals are sinners), and shares many more characteristics with man than perfection.
