Luke 10

17The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name."

18He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

If Jesus said, He SAW satan fall like lightning from heaven, He had to be with God before Creation.

It's Truth like this revealed to us that makes us believe.

I have been casually browsing around this category, and within meaningful questions, I notice many disobliging answers from blatant athiest users, who typically respond with something along the lines of "God is made up," "There is no God, "All imaginary."

Not to be rude, but why do you impose such worthless and unhelpful comments? Do you find faith as some atrocious act, in which you must openly respond to profess that you are correct? It makes me laugh at your hypocrisy, and you know who you are.

Many religious folks ask dilligent questions, and the least to their liking is to recieve a comment from an athiest blasting their beliefs. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against athiests, but on here, please put past your silly callow remarks, or have nothing to say at all.

Thanks.

I'm going to be handing out candy at my grandmother's house for Halloween most likely, but before that, I'm sure that I'll want to go to some parties!

So what's a good costume that won't look dorky and won't scare the bejeezus out of the Bob the Builders and princesses knocking at the door? I would like traditional-ish. And please, no stupid "punny" ones.

I was curious....some say it was John the Baptist, but when the Disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 17:11 about Elijah, Jesus said "Elijah truly shall first come and restore all things. But I say unto you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him not but have done unto him whatsoever they listed.
If Elijah had already come, and they did not know him, and he truly shall come, what is it that he is to restore, and what are the things that were going to fall that had to be restored?

Whether you like it or not Christianity is a religion, a religion that follows and worships Christ. If you wish to separate yourself from Christianity then IMO you are not worshipping in truth. This "RELIGION" that you speak of was began by Christ with himself as the cornerstone and the 12 disciples as the foundation. Jesus used construction terminology because that is exactly His intent which was to build a Church. This Church was endowed with all that is necessary for it to endure until the end of the age without the gates of hell ever prevailing against it. This Church is the pillar and the ground of the truth and the protector of that truth for all times against the false teachers to come from within and without stealing the faithful like ravaging wolves. When I encounter people who blame Christ's Church for restricting the faithful from private interpretation, I simply ask them to look in a mirror to find the true blame.

I had my copy of "Warriors Don't Cry" signed by it's author Melba Beals. She was one of the "Little Rock Nine", a group of Black students who were accepted into Little Rock Arkansas during the school integration during 1957. She endured so much pain and manevolence as she was harrased by white students, parents, police men(even the govenor of Arkansas sent the nation guard to keep them from entering the school. When I met Melba, she left me speechless and I was just in awe of all that she and her companions had done to change the world.Has anyone here grown from such a difficult experience and ultimately triumphed( brought you closer in your relationship with God and your true character)

I was baptized in the Catholic church as a 13 yr old,but didn't truly understand what Catholicism was,and never had my first confession,I am pretty sure I had confirmation and first communion but that was it.When i turned 19 I was an atheisist and then when I was 21-24 I was into Hinduism and other forms of non-Christian eastern religion. At 24 I was saved and rebaptized as a Christian but this time I was baptized in a Baptist church, later I tried several churches but never fully felt spiritually at home,in 2005 I started to get the desire to return to the Catholic church,,now at the age of 27 I have a deep desire to go to confession and take all the sacraments,I am not a member of any Catholic church yet,ANY ADVICE??HOW DO I GO FOR FIRST CONFESSION???HOW DO I GET RIGHT WITH THE CATHOLIC CHURCH???
