No job, retired after 49 years of toil, I have plenty of time to contemplate and reflect and have very much experience to draw on.
You get like that when you mature.
One day, if you live long enough, you may experience the real wisdom that comes with time and closeness to death,
Have a nide day pal.

Eris has said:
"I have come to tell you that you are free. Many ages ago, My consciousness left man, that he might develop himself. I return to find this development approaching completion, but hindered by fear and by misunderstanding.
You have built for yourselves psychic suits of armor, and clad in them, your vision is restricted, your movements are clumsy and painful, your skin is bruised, and your spirit is broiled in the sun.
I am chaos. I am the substance from which your artists and scientists build rhythms. I am the spirit with which your children and clowns laugh in happy anarchy. I am chaos. I am alive, and I tell you that you are free."
Therefore, If you want to believe in Eris, you can. And if you don't She doesn't care anyway......"
The 5 Erisean Commandments are called the Pentabarf
KNOW YE THIS O MAN OF FAITH!
I - There is no Goddess but Goddess and She is Your Goddess. There is no Erisian Movement but The Erisian Movement and it is The Erisian Movement. And every Golden Apple Corps is the beloved home of a Golden Worm.
II - A Discordian Shall Always use the Official Discordian Document Numbering System.
III - A Discordian is Required during his early Illumination to Go Off Alone & Partake Joyously of a Hot Dog on a Friday; this Devotive Ceremony to Remonstrate against the popular Paganisms of the Day: of Catholic Christendom (no meat on Friday), of Judaism (no meat of Pork), of Hindic Peoples (no meat of Beef), of Buddhists (no meat of animal), and of Discordians (no Hot Dog Buns).
IV - A Discordian shall Partake of No Hot Dog Buns, for Such was the Solace of Our Goddess when She was Confronted with The Original Snub.
V - A Discordian is Prohibited of Believing what he reads.
IT IS SO WRITTEN! SO BE IT. HAIL DISCORDIA! PROSECUTORS WILL BE TRANSGRESSICUTED.

Which one do you prefer, forcible conversion or non-forcible one? As a Muslim, I still prefer the forcible type, as that is less tortuous than arguing back and forth with an infidel.
;:-)
Sarcasm aside, if God ever sees any good in you, He will choose Islam for you, as that is the STRAIGHT path to Him; Ninety-nine percent of Islam is just believing in One Supreme God, without associating any partners in His divinity. But if God does not find sincerity in you, He will let you roam blind. People like me can take you across the street, but then you'll have to use your white stick of reason to get around.

While taking advantage of your fatigue is never something that should be encouraged, might I suggest doing some reading of the New Testament? There are many religions out there, but the Christian faith does happen to be the only one that does not require good deeds to get yourself to heaven, and teaches only love. If you don't have one, any local church can get you one for free

My question would be....do you have some basis for a belief now? In other words...do you have an idea of what you believe right now....something that feels right for you?
Once I know that answer then I know where to start filling you in on what is so great about my faith and why I find it so rewarding...I'll be praying for you. God bless you :-)

conversion is not what is need but the birthing into a new life through Christ is. converting will net you nothing , you must be created anew (spiritually) Accepting Christ , repenting of your sin and a close walk are the preambel to Christianity. Not much of a disposition but then again it is rather simple to become a part of the family of God.

As you have time on your hands now why not read about Buddhists and their beliefs
and then take the advice of His Holiness the Dalai Lama
"Don´t try to use what you learn from Buddhism to be a Buddhist; use it to be a better whatever-you-already-are."
Wise words from a truely wonderful man

Get out and observe Nature. Bird-spotting is a good start.
Get involved with saving the Planet -- just at a local level, and only as much as you want.
Read about the philosophy of scientific pantheism -- we are all part of Nature, and a wonderful Nature it is!

Do not despair -- all things pass.

I cannot convert you. neither can any one else.
YOU, must do the work, you must listen to all the evidence and convert yourself. You are not a mindless boob or a robot.
Yes I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, if you are curious, you contact me through yahoo.
It would Be a waste of my time and yours to contact you now that you know who and what I am.
So what do I believe?????
Again, if you are really curious, YOU contact me.
O.K., that is honest as I can get with out preaching!
