about the christians that delete anything they don't like?

I wrote to Yahoo about it, but where I ask in the west they respond in the east (avoiding taking a stand I guess).

But seriously. Every time someone gets a little too close to where Christianity seriously starts looking ridiculous(even question written with no offense), they report on full scale.

R&S seems much more like a war than a Q&A place.

Would it be so bad do have the report function taken out of R&S? The Christians surely don't know how not to abuse the function...

I remember being religious. That feeling of the "heathen" or "people of the world" being a separate and corrupt lot of humans. The bible declares them "fools" and the Quran demands their death, but what if religions didnt feel so insecure about the existence of people who dont buy the bs?

What I mean is, the fear that atheists will influence the sheep...is it a rational concern for the herd master?

If atheists or unbelievers werent demonized, no doubt, the sheep would be more willing to consider their views as opposed to being warned about the devil-tongue kafirs/unbelievers.

Its a very successful tact. Tell the sheep that the enemy is the unbeliever, and reinforce this until the very mention of atheist or unbeliever provokes fear and rage. Its classical conditioning and it works.

Supposedly, this Satan fellow got a hair across his but and decided one day to attempt to overthrow it's creator. You know, the all powerful one that created it. Satan of course cut a pretty good peace agreement deal and got control over hell.

Now at the end of this timeline Satan is supposedly going to attempt to take on the champ again and lose again. Since this has been predicted in our handy dandy bible why would Satan actually go through with it? Why would Satan not just try some sort of political take over? Not that the all powerful being thing couldn't just stop him but why not try a different tactic?

Oh and why are people so foolish as to say Satan would use the atheists? Obviously if Satan proved himself and the Christian god showed itself they wouldn't be atheists anymore.

God wants to destroy a city and the guyask if God would spare it if 12 rightous men could be found. God agrees and the guy says how about 10? God says OK. The guy then says how about 8? God says he will not spare the city for the sake of 8. Who was god talking to?

This girl asks a simple question about Christian movies to buy for her father for his birthday. Some of us seem to think that insulting her or telling her that Blazing Saddles is a great Christian movie is the way to respond...

I understand that we may not agree with them, and I understand wanting to be funny/sarcastic - but can we just sometimes NOT be as*holes about it?? In other words, if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all (surely, this would be nice if we all lived by this, but lets at least try to lead by example, okay?) Its not like her question was attacking us, so why attack her?? (Im all for sarcasm when we are being attacked - heck, Im the first to use it!)

I went to a interview recently and they made a couple of us wait for hours till they finally called my name. I went into the room where a guy asked me two questions i know i answered them good. He asked me two simple questions and he yawn repeatedly he did not even wright anything down just looked at the wall clueless like. Then he told me to go wait in the waiting room I was the only one who had a 30 second interview literally
while other people had decent amount of time. As you can tell i did not get the job.. Made me very pissed that he yawn when he would ask me a question

How can you grow up in the late 20th/early 21st centuries and be so miserably uneducated so as to believe in creationism over evolution, the bible over science, the existence of h*** or heaven or miracles or angels or "divine" appearances or original sin or any of the other ancient stories attempting to explain what was for them unexplainable but explainable with modern science?

I do not work directly below this person (I am in a different dept) but we are friendly. I have never met any of her family and we do not talk very personally. She invited everyone in the office to the funeral and I found out someone in the office who knows her less than I do is planning to go.

Mine has been here for about a month, my husband(his stepdad) said he had to go, either my son goes or my husband goes. Plus he said some really ugly things to my son, and to me about him as well. Yesterday Jamie Foxx was on a late night talk show--Conan O'Brien, I think. He said his 40th birthday was coming up and he was throwing a party with the theme "New Jack City", his favorite movie. What a good idea!, I thought. My favorite movie is "West Side Story", and it's my favorite musical, too. My 50th birthday was last December, and though I haven't had the big party yet, I'm still thinking of doing it.

Okay, so I just got the Naruto Uncut Box Sets Volume 3 & 4... They came with a storyboard booklet. However, the storyboard writing is all in Japanese! I don't know the slightest bit of Japanese save Kounichiwa, hello, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites to translate the Japanese with. I'm seriously confused, and I would like to know what the heck it says!

If you know of any sites that have translated these storyboard books into English, that would be nice, as well. I've found a few good sites, but I can't even translate the first character!

ok, right now i have to go to the bathroom very bad! but some thing hooked up to the toilet is broken and we can't use the toilet! i would go outside but we don't live in the woods and i'm not about to go outside in front of people. theres a bush beside our house but it's only big enough to hide myself if i pee. well i don't have to go pee, but i still gotta go if you know what i mean. i don't want to ask the neibors because i don't know them. i may see them on may way to the bus stop in the morning but that's it. i don't talk to them. it's mostly older people. i have to go so bad that if i hold it in much longer i'll become constipated!!! this is no joke!! what should i do? i have to go so bad but no where to go! what should i do! i can barley finish typing this, i have to go so bad!! help! what to do!? what to do!?

By not allowing gays and lesbian to marry, our government is preserving the 'sanctity of marriage'. (Referring to the U.S. Government here)

So, pretty much, in a nutshell, this is our senators, our governors, our elected officials, putting their sexuality on a pedestal, and think that heterosexuality is superior to homosexuality.

There is no legitimate backing as to why they do this, no solid evidence, just biased religious beliefs.

Couldn't you find the least bit of discrimination in this? Even for as religious as you are, do you think our politicians should have the right to deny us rights, based on their beliefs?

When I have asked this question to local church groups and denominations(baptist, catholic, buddhist, mormons, etc.) they all give me different answers. The baptist say that the jews killed Jesus because he was white. And the Roman Catholics and buddhist say the romans killed jesus. So who really killed jesus?
