Supposedly, this Satan fellow got a hair across his but and decided one day to attempt to overthrow it's creator. You know, the all powerful one that created it. Satan of course cut a pretty good peace agreement deal and got control over hell.
Now at the end of this timeline Satan is supposedly going to attempt to take on the champ again and lose again. Since this has been predicted in our handy dandy bible why would Satan actually go through with it? Why would Satan not just try some sort of political take over? Not that the all powerful being thing couldn't just stop him but why not try a different tactic?
Oh and why are people so foolish as to say Satan would use the atheists? Obviously if Satan proved himself and the Christian god showed itself they wouldn't be atheists anymore.

He's not stupid. His biographies just come from biased sources. Which is kind of like getting your information on Jews from Mein Kampf.

I couldn't resist the chance to make some observations--1. "...a hair across his but...." Do you mean butt? 2. "You know, the all powerful one that created it...," is a incomplete sentence. 3. Satan didn't cut no deal with God, he got his *** thrown out of heaven, and Christ saw it happen. He told his disciples about it, "I saw him fall out of heaven like lightning!" Don't get all berserk about the word fall either, it is common to say a man fell on the battle field when in actuality he got struck down hard, usually by another warrior. 4. Obviously, something other than the takeover of Heaven is going on. 5. Why wouldn't Satan use atheists? They are the greatest number of people on the face of the planet. They outnumber Christians almost four to one, and Christians are supposed to be the largest religion in the world, except for anti-religion, or atheism. Satan isn't a fool. 6. Do you honestly think that Satan wouldn't be trying if he didn't think he had a chance, or that there was something he wanted out of the deal? No, there is something very sinister going on. You can count on it. 7. You capitalized Satan but not God. All Power is capitalized. God is capitalized too. Okay, that's it for now. I'm done tearing it apart. There's more, but I don't want to give the guy an inferiority complex. Give me all the thumbs down you want, I am just making observations and that is all, and at the risk of getting booted off Yahoo Answers, I hope you don't take it too personally, but truly, religion wouldn't have lasted all these years unless there was some intelligence to it. All the people over the last two thousand years who studied and took the Bible apart are a lot smarter than I am, and the book is still here, and so is the belief, and so are the people who perpetuate it. It is more powerful than you are giving it credit for, and uh...it shows.

lets look at it this way
suppose you were a person like Al Capone in charge of everything and you had some really big plans to create something that you really valued.
And you had a very trusted friend who you liked very much and shared everything about your plan even to the point that you would put your friend in control of most of your plan
But your friend double crossed you and tried to take this plan for himself.
Which really made you mad at what your friend did even after all you had done for him.
But you had a way to block him from ruining everything and had a way to keep him from over taking what you had.
So your friend cant beat you but he tries to destroy as much of what you created that he could
This is what Satan is trying to do he knows he his lost but he is trying to destroy what God created even to the very last effort

Because satan is CONCEITED and ignorant of the truth, just like so many sad humans, and he thinks that he is smarter than God, and is willing to believe that he WILL win, despite all evidence to the contrary

dude, youre right! man if i was the devil i would totaly like go to the moon and set up shop there. it's not hot, it's no too far away. man i would have all the beer you can drink. pot just like groing everywhere. id be like sure osama, you can crash on my couch then like when he fell asleep i would put his hand in water and like paint his face with a sharpie oh man, we would have strip clubs on every corner.
