The question's not how many people, but what people and for how long.
Only a certain kind of person takes other people's opinions as truth without thinking for themselves, and they're far more likely to do so if the opinion's been held by a few generations.

A. None. The truth is the truth. An opinion is just that and not a fact which means it's not the whole truth. Many popular and unpopular opinions have been far from the truth. Does that help?

honestly if you are looking for numbers, honey you will never get one. and opinion is and opinion everyone have a right to one and everyone opinion will differ in one way or another. look how many times scientist calm to have and opinion about some thing and they said it is true then years later it wasn't so. that's because it just the opinion and they think because 10 or 12 of them think it correct then it's true but that was so wrong.

The truth is separate from opinions. As people often don't perceive the truth, their opinion is based only on their faulty perception.

I'm gonna have to say none, because while it would be nice if opinions were based on the truth, the truth isn't affected by opinions.

I would like to think the answer would be "an infinite amount of people" however, popular opinion turned truth is alive and well and living in our TV set as we speak!

None. Opinion and truth are two different things (although it's certainly possible for the content of an opinion to agree with some particular truth).

Not applicable. The truth is what is and what was, and if nobody believes the truth at all it's still the truth.
