Yes, I've been in several. I worked as staff in the London
church for 8 years before moving to Canada. Have been in various other churches in the U.S.A.
I am currently taking a course at the Toronto Church of Scientology.
This is a yes or no kind of question.. is there something specific you are asking for here?

Yes. I worked for a copier company that the local Scientology church was very delinquent paying their bills to. I was told 'again' that they would send the check out. I said, "ya know what? You are close, I will come and get it." SO,
I went down there and waited in their lobby. I read their L Ron Hubbard wall art and looked at their pamphlets, although I was informed it would cost me if I wanted to take one home. (NO THANKS!)
The most disturbing part was when an elderly man who just had a session came out with his leader and was saying, "my kids are really worried about me spending so much on this." The leader replied, "well, you need to separate yourself from them. your kids just don't understand. Right? You are clear and they are not."
(Insert evil music here.)
I had chills on the outside and inside of my body. Any religion that would promote distancing yourself from your family is a cult in my book!
I got the check and got the heck out!!!!

No - but the Scientology building by my house doesn't look like a church - it looks like an office building. And somebody told me that there is no santuary in that building - just meeting rooms and offices.
I don't think Scientologists really "go to church" and sing and have a sermon/talk presented to them.

Yep.
Like most people (62% according to anti-scientology sites) I tried out the first couple of (cheaper) courses and then quit.
No big deal. The churchy stuff was non-denominational so anyone of any faith could come. General stuff about good wishes where disasters are occurring.
The course stuff was all kept seperate and most of the people taking them didnt bother showing up for the churchy stuff.
edit: I find ZeroCool's answer to be very interesting. (you have to look at his answer history to understand)

lol i went there by accident once (this lady came up to my friend and i on the street offering to show us a movie and give us coffee and donuts and we're like. . why not) and it was so weird! The movie basically said that most medical conditions (esp. mental illness) are totally false and a result from something in your past. We then had to fill out a survery. We lied on everything. Then, the lady came back and asked us what we thought, and I told her I didn't beleive a word of it and it did not make sense. she said okay, offered us a cookie and we booked out of there. hahahahaha

Yes, I Have been in their headquarters in Clearwater Fl. several times.I was a paramedic in the days when they beat people that tried to leave,The patients always spoke a foreign language and their "medical officer" understood all the languages. They often called 911 to "borrow" equipment and supplies and never wanted anyone to go to the hospital.

Yes, I've seen the emeters and MANY books written by L. Ron Hubbard.
The one thing I found odd was in order to learn more about Scientology they kept trying to push me to purchase Dianetics... I decided to opt out and look up more online.

I attended a cult when I was a kid.
I don't plan on attending any others.
I haven't gone to a Scientology "church" (or whatever they call their meeting halls) and I don't plan to.
