God created us, isn't that more appealing? No brainer!

If there is a God atheists are screwed, if there is no God, Christians don't lose anything by believing in him.

Halloween is comming soon, and I want that my house (ouside and inside) get turned into a haunted mansion to have good moments with my friends.
Any ideas? This year I'm going to give candies to the kids, and I want that those who will see my house get amazed with the transformation.
Help me!

I've heard that marijuana isn't even that bad for you and it poses hardly any health risks (like cigarettes and alchohol do). I have never used it but I know it can calm people down under stress and can be used to relieve stress. The only major risks would be using it while driving, but come on, we could tax this stuff like a liberal politician in Amsterdam!

Ethically and morally speaking. How do you feel about spanking children for serious wrong doings? I am a Christian and I know what the Bible says, but I only want to hear what you heart is telling you and why you feel the way you do. Deal?

Note : I don't have kids and we never will. I just want to hear what the world really thinks about it these days.

To let go of who or what you believe created the earth... or didn't, to let go of your beliefs and realize that what any great humanitarian would want is for us all to be helpful and good to one another. No, this is not a "Kumbaya" moment. I believe in science when it's proved. I believe in the 'theory' of evolution because of the research and proven facts of the findings. And you believe in God, or aren't sure, or believe there's more to it than either evolution or creationism can define - but does it matter? Really? Shouldn't we all get out there and make the world a better place to live in, start being kind rather than proselytizing to one another. Woudn't your God want that more than anything? Once you ascribe human characteristics (jealousy, narcisssism) to a god you take away the "god-like" qualities he/she/it has. Would any god threaten people with eternal hell for not believing in him when they've tried always to do the compassionate thing and help out in the world?

Why do you even bother to ask questions wanting us to prove Jesus Christ is real. Whatever we say you are not going to believe so why do you waste your time asking questions?
Why are you here , just to show your ignorance? There are plenty other catagories to do that on. What is your point?

Many intelligent people are thoroughly convinced that science has proven the earth to be billions of years old. How can they be wrong? The misconception builds on a neglect of the basic nature of “science” and a natural desire for moral autonomy. Actually, the age of the earth can be neither proved nor disproved by science. Scientific evidence can be compiled to support one model of earth history as compared to another, but such work amounts to a feasibility study, not proof.

How does a rational, scientific person - who is sceptical about all sorts of spiritual matters - explain their belief in God? My best friend, a lecturer in Maths, is sceptical of anything that is not proven, but she is a devout Christian. I find the two at odds with one another.

I am not asking anyone to justify their beliefs here - I am wondering HOW you reconcile miracles with hard fact, and what thought process is involved.

About a month ago, I had a spell cast to help with a very difficult life situation. Between the spell, my visualization, meditation and prayer, I have seen come of the desired outcome manifesting in a manner much stronger than in previous similar situations. Meanwhile, physically, I am drained; I have a woozy feeling, exhausted, etc from the neck up. I am wondering, since there is really no reason for these physical symptoms, if anyone else has had similar things occur when a spell manifested.

the story. Those details that become commonly accepted as “facts” are often changed in light of more recent discoveries. This has happened on numerous occasions, with little notice that the supposed prior facts were not facts at all. In other words, there is not one theory of evolution, but a body of opinions, speculations and methods for interpretation of observational facts so that they fit into the philosophy of naturalism.
