the # 7 signifies completeness. this number can also refer to bringing a work toward completion or of completing a cycle of things. ex: the Festival of Unleavened Bread and the Festival of Booths were 7 days long. (Ex 34:18 : Le 23:34)
also Jehovah created the earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th.

The number six is one less than perfect and thus considered the worst of the possible numbers as it is one less than perfect. Satan is so evil and less than perfect he noted to have the mark of the number 666 to note three times the evil of 6.

You can look at books on Hebrew numerology as the bible only refers to the already known number system used in the Hebrew culture.
