I think they (the Church) are frightened of us for many reasons, and the average Christian, well they are just ignorant to what we really are...
King James changed the word Poisoner to Witch in this classic verse~~ Thou shalt not suffer a Witch to live~~ and over a period of a couple of a hundred years 9,000,000 people lost their lives....
Basically anything that does not fit neatly into their very small world is the work of the Devil...
They continually use this excuse for almost everything, including all the sexual abuse their Priests have been charged with...
They hate, or just dislike us, because they don't understand us...
Our religion is older than theirs by at least 100,000 years and we aren't going anywhere...
We are here to stay and we will be still here with our beliefs when Christianity is just ancient history...
Blessed Be... )O(

No. traditionally the witch replaced into considered as somebody who replaced into choosing to reason injury with the aid of magical skill or intentionally allying oneself with devil. Hating the witchcraft yet not the witch may well be like hating homicide yet not the murderer.

Does it matter what a Christian thinks about a thing or practice?
Witches say ( I am and there is no one besides me). Isaiah 47:6-15. Astrologers, stargazers, sorcerers, monthly prognosticators. Listen to what the Lord has said about you.

note the one who thinks he knows everything by assuming witches means wiccans when it doesn't, and then says there is no such thing when the ones he tries to discredit do the same things as the one he believes in.

It is the idolatry that is the root of the problem here. You are putting other Gods, spells and incantations before God's wisdom. And trusting in them instead of the Lord God.
And if Christians were to burn witches that come to Christ, then I would have been first in line a long time ago. As I am a former witch.

I'm a Christian and I don't hate Wiccans. I don't hate them because I know there's no truth to what they believe. Witches in the sense don't exist and neither do spells or magic. Let them believe what they want. They'll see just how wrong they are once they die.
