If there is a God atheists are screwed, if there is no God, Christians don't lose anything by believing in him.

Damn us. Why can't we just submit to the religion commies.

If these people end up drunk, you are partly to blame.

Even if you are a troll (and with a name like that, it's likely) I'll humor you.

The argument you are putting forth is known commonly as Pascal's wager (PW).

There are a number of problems with PW but I will say that there are losses due to people believing something false that a) imposes discriminatory rules upon a society, b) holds back scientific and technological progress, and c) imposes rules upon a society that are uneconomic. There are more but these are some basic categories.

I don't have ANY problem with anyone believing what they want to believe. As an agnostic, I am quite confident that I don't know everything about the universe. However, that doesn't imply that the imposition of your beliefs upon others is moral or ethical.

I don't believe in God because "Christians don't lose anything by believing in him."

As for why they don't believe: that is a personal matter most of the time. Usually it's because people have the tendency to *think for themselves* and ask questions.

Either way it's none of your business. Don't judge your fellows.

the problem with that premise is that what you call god is the devil you been telling us about.... That nations of people will be deceived... or he'll deceive the whole world... how deceived are you that you speak the warnings of him, yet you continue on his path..... You give us warning not to fall for the devil... we don't, atheist don't... what is your excuse... and just for the sake of argument to answer your own question, assume I'm right... what is the harm in believing? What are christians loosing?

actually, christians miss out on alot. they take everything into consideration to what god would want. in terms of what god thinks is unmoral. well. atheists are more natural to human instincts and can do what they want without guilt. basically

and also you can't just one day decide "OH CRAP! i feel like believing in something new today. why not try god!?!?" no. you can't automatically believe just by going " oh yea i believe".

I'm Not going to live my life for something I am not convinced of. If your gonna live your life for something live it for a person or people you can feel, smell, talk to and look at. That what I want to spend my life worshiping ( the human race). More people in the history of the world have been killed in the name of god than any other reason combined.

Well how do you know if your worshiping the right god? Religion ruled the Dark Ages and this ain't the Dark Ages no more! It makes more sense to believe there is no god.

Lets see, if atheist believed in god, then they wouldn't be atheist. You wouldn't have anything to worry your little pea sized brain over.
Why do christians worry so much about others business?

you can't force belief, if you think God isn't real then that isn't going to change and you can't make it change whether you worry about being wrong or not, and being a Christian is supposed to mean giving up the life we both believe in for a life you assume is better than this could be, you're gambling too

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
- 1Cor 2:14

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
- 2Cor 4:3-4

Hey smartass, if there is a god but it's not YOUR god, you're screwed.

"Christian god" and "no god" are not the only possibilities, stupid. Pascal's Wager fails.
