I work with the following people:
a fundie- I am on fire for god. Has a huge tatoo across her back with a nail thru a heart reading "paid for with his blood". She can be difficult to work with at times. Shes not horrible or anything extreme except in her beliefs.
a 7th day adventist- the world is 5,000 yrs old and dinosaurs were planted by a vast left wing conspiracy
a catholic- dantes inferno is not a work of fiction but is a true story nice guy but thats about the craziest thing I have heard in some time.
a former bishop in the Mormon faith- absolutely without question one of the finest human beings I have ever met. Never seen this guy get mad or freak out. Gentle and kind I could see this guy converting people just by works alone.

of course being an atheist I can tease them about the flood and all sorts of paradoxes in the bible. All in good fun but the fundie has gotten seriously pissed at me over the omniscent god thing.

WTF seriously? (pardon my words, im mad)

I was walkin' with my girl friends by home depot and I saw them staring at us, and I glared back but they wouldn't look away. What kind of pervert are they?

Im not racist or anything here, I just don't understand why and how come they don't feel uncomfortable when they do that?

it has been said that believers will answer to everything deed and word spoken in the Name of God come judgement

A female called asking for me last night at midnight my nephew answered she said....

" Is ______(my name) there"?
He said "yea but she's sleeping".
She then asked "Who is she" he said "My aunt"
She asked him "How old is she"........he found that question strange and hung up on her.

My nephew is 15.
What gives? A call like that at midnight???

I'm not judging or making assumptions about your religion etc. I am just doing some 'soul searching' and trying to work something out. Your answering the following questions would greatly help me. If you don't have a lot of time, a simple answer is fine.

1.) What is your religion?

2.)When someone in your religion, whether it be someone in a position of power or just a member of the religion, is accused of some form of sexual misconduct, what is your reaction? "How terrible", "This can't be true" etc etc.

3.)How do you feel about those who leave your religion?

4.)If you meet someone, in person or on line claiming to be of you religion, are you suspicous or friendly?

5.) If you encounter someone who says they were once a member of you religion, do you listen objectively to what they have to say or dismiss what they say as evil lies?

Have you ever noticed that non-Americans speak 2,3,4 or more languages? I'm proud to be an American, but I'm rather irritated that it is not compulsatory in school for us to be at least bilingual. Do you feel the same way?

i never really get annoyed by anything too much but some of my friends are easily bothered by p.d.a., people cutting them off in traffic, people being loud, etc.

the only things that really bother me are when people dont use their turn signals when driving, carry around knock-off designer purses, try to hit on me or my friends or anyone for that matter using broken english or slang, when girls wear short shorts or skirts above the knee WITH high heels that arent platforms, carrying around vera bradley merchandise, etc...

see most ofm y stuff is ridiculous and not that serious. what about you?!
