Well after reading this question and your additional words on the subject it sounds like you know the truth already, so the real question your asking is why don't you get the burning in the bosom upon confirmation from the Holy Ghost.
Well to answer that, I don't think a lot people get the burning feeling. I think that is a way for people, who for the most part have a hard time knowing the feeling of the Holy Ghost to learn how to recognize the feeling. If you already know the feeling then it isn't necessary to teach you in that manner.
Trust me if you know the Bible is true and feel the same way about the Book of Mormon you do know the feeling. I also do not get the burning feeling but I for sure know the feeling of the Holy Ghost.

I never had the "burning in the bosom" feeling overcome me. I don't think I ever felt that before and I'm not sure I will. The Spirit speaks to you and for each person it will be different. Personally, I feel a great sense of peace when something is really right. It sorta' washes over me. Peace is the one feeling that Satan cannot duplicate even in the short-term scheme of things. I find great comfort in that knowledge because I know that what I feel at those times are truly from the Spirit and not myself.
It took me a long time to realize when the Spirit was speaking to me and it took me a long time to gain the testimony I now have. After years of study, pondering, searching, reading, (and not just on the Mormon church), I finally realized that the one feeling I searched for the most, that peace, came mostly when doing something that had to do with the LDS church. Over time it has changed from a calming faith to a fervent knowledge that I'm where I'm suppose to be and the Gospel is true.
I am happy to answer any question you might have. Thanks for asking this one.

The actual promise is that the Holy Ghost will let you know. This can occur in many ways that do not include the burning in the bosom. My favorite scripture that describes how the Holy Ghost works in in Galations 5:22-23
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. Against such there is no law."
For me personally, the Holy Ghost communicates through peace. When I pray or study about something, I know it's right if I feel peaceful and comforted. I've never really had a burning sensation (at least in connection to spiritual matters)

It's rarely manifest by a "burning in the Bosom". That was how the lord taught Joseph Smith to translate.
Listen to your heart. Pray that you'll receive an answer and that you'll recognize the answer as such when it's given.
The spirit will make you feel peaceful, loving, joyful. It will make you want to be better, and do better. You'll have thoughts of getting baptized, etc.
I've felt the lords spirit often in my life. Only one time would I describe it as a "burning in the bosom".
Be diligent, prayerful, full of faith and humility, and be ready to act on what the lord reveals to you.
..."for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith".

Let's look at what the actual promise is of the Book of Mormon:
Moroni 10: 3-5 "Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."
So, if you did not get a manifestation of the truth of the Book of Mormon (which may or may not be a burning of the bosom") then you didn't do one of the following:
1. Actually read the book and ponder it in you heart.
2. Ask God in the name of Christ
3. Ask with a sincere heart
4. Ask with real intent
5. Have faith in Christ
In my experience if you follow the test conditions the experiment always produces a positive result that the Book of Mormon is true.
It isn't with the "sincerest of hearts" and with real intent if what you really want in your heart is not the truth, but to prove that the Book of Mormon is false. You have to want to believe what is true and what God wants you to believe, not what is convenient for you, conforms to your old religious beliefs, or fits in with your agenda.

I question the burning feeling, i got it from the Book of Mormon, I read the BofM three times, I also asked teh Holy Ghost about three men and got a burning for each man, I thought that was weird, how could all three men be the One, so Ipretty much think the burning was all in my head.

What do you do when you have prepared carefully, have prayed fervently, waited a reasonable time for a response, and still do not feel an answer? You may want to express thanks when that occurs, for it is an evidence of His trust. When you are living worthily and your choice is consistent with the Savior’s teachings and you need to act, proceed with trust. As you are sensitive to the promptings of the Spirit, one of two things will certainly occur at the appropriate time: either the stupor of thought will come, indicating an improper choice, or the peace or the burning in the bosom will be felt, confirming that your choice was correct. When you are living righteously and are acting with trust, God will not let you proceed too far without a warning impression if you have made the wrong decision.

That depends on what you are expecting as far as "burning in the bosom".
I just knew that it is true, the word of God, like the Bible.
It's just, from the questions you ask on here and the spirit in which you ask them, I think you really don't want it to be true.

They are simply not prepared to deal with a "no" or any answer that is not a "yes" and I have been told to go back and ask again and be sure that my motives are pure.
I told them a story of a fellow that came to the golf course with a story. He said that it was a tossup whether he went to work or went to the golf course. Heads, he went to work and Tails he went to the golf course. He added however that he had to flip 14 times to come to the golf course. That man simply was not prepared to do what the coin said because he had another agenda.

For some, God speaks to them with a burning bossom. For others, it is in a still small voice.
As John explained, sometimes we need to "do the doctrine" and give it a try. And if it is a good "seed" it will begin to grow and bear fruit. If it is a bad seed, we will not see anything good come from it.
So in other words, do an experiment adn practice living the word and following the teachings. if they help your life, " you will kow of the doctrine" as John suggests.
