my teacher says you do because we're our own little state of happy and joy. is it true? why?

don't get me wrong, i've lived here my whole life, and i love it!! and no we're not all stuck-up people, i just want opinions from non californians, even if they think we are. and yes, tv celbrates mediocrity with shows like Laguna Beach, and the OC, but I live there and we're not like that.

I hate California because when I lived out there most people I interacted with were lazy and worthless. They believed they were entitled to everything, and I could see the gears turning in their heads counter to what they were saying. I lived there for a few years, and could not deal with the lack of work ethic. I want to lay explosive charges in the fault line, and blast all the coasters out to sea. Also, they are exceptionally poor drivers.
Of course, this is a serious case of stereotyping, and grouping all that I encountered as one whole lot with the state...

I love California. My favorite spot is San Diego. I've also been to L.A. While I really love visiting, I don't think I'd want to live there because it's so crowded. While I envy being able to go to the beach and all, I don't particularly want to live there nor do I hate the state. Your teacher is really out of line in expressing that opinion. Tell your teacher that he or she shouldn't speak for an entire country.

People who trash talk California are just jealous. But your teacher wasn't very smart for saying that everybody's jealous. About the orange skinned girls wearing skimpy clothing and all that crap....that is such a stereotype. There aee girls like thar everywhere. And laguna beach is just a stupid show. I live in California. It rocks.

I lived in California for 34 years. Northern California is some of the most beautiful country on the planet. Unfortunately, the people of California are, for the most part, azzholes.

I don't hate it. Hate is a strong word and since you're asking for my opinon. I LOVE IT! Family is here! And it's very beautiful and sunny for most parts of the year!
The only thing I don't like it the high cost of living! After alll, it's supply and demand don't you know ;-)

There's too many people that hate all Americans, why would I hate California?
Been there a few times, I find it very pretty in areas and never had one problem there.

I can't speak for everybody else, but I've been to a lot of places in this world. There is just no place I'd rather be than here in Sunny California. I hope we're not "hated" by many. lol

i lived in california, LA actually, and i loved it. i got to see a lot of cali and it was beautifull. i even saw a few stars in hollywood! i really don't see why anyone would hate california, unless they're messed up in the head somewhere...
