It woudl be hoped that any dsicussion would center around the many common traits that most religions share and teach so as to create a sense of unity and brotherhood among hte participants and those whom they were representing.

I would hope that there would be much laughter and happiness. there is too much stuffiness in the world and too much ego. We need to laugh. I also hope the dinner would be good, with good tea and some cookies afterwards.

maybe during a break, all of the particiapants could go outside to fly kites and play, maybe those with children could bring them.

After that, all could meditate, breathe and relax. then go home to spread the good will.

may it all be well with you and i hope that you organize this meeting soon and invite me.

Hello dear!

Definitely I would attempt any meetings that would deal with world's problems, which are independent of regions, politics, etc. And there are many such problems seeking solution: These include: Environment, Astronomy, health, economics, ....
Of course, some religions can't comprehend solutions or attaining solutions for such problems, due to their believes, but it is a common problem not of faiths, etc.

Maybe instead of religion it would be interesting to just talk about other things. Trials and tribulations in life....which Tim McGraw song is better.
Who knows it may be interesting to see if I have anything in common with lets say "JesusFan"...maybe we both like Dr Pepper. Seems if all this talk about religion puts too may barriers between people.
So where is the chat room?

How do I find the link to her chatroom?

By the way, can we settle for common courtesy and respect for each other's beliefs rather than unity. To me, unity means completely agreeing on everything. I'd rather have us be allowed to be accepted for having our own beliefs.

I would be deadly serious. There has been more carnage and bloodshed in the name of religion than anything else throughout history. The sooner we are rid of it, and the gullible who follow these man-made myths, the better.

That would be great!
I don't use to enter to this forum but I use to enter to the Spanish forum of Religion and Spirituality and is very sad to witness the animosity between both.

Bring unity among atheists and different faiths....... isn't that a contradiction in terms!? I'd only go for the arguments!

I would only go to observe the arguments. In good fun? Lol, let's see how long that lasts.

Sure, but I want me a new position. Seeing how I got all depressed as resigned from my old ones.

It would be a waste of time. Well, okay, it could be fun, but as I'm a slow typist, I hate chat rooms.

Faith-based thinking is incompatible with atheism, which is based on logic and evidence.
