rather let your child die than deny your faith toward God and Jesus?

This is an extension of another question asked earlier.

Origianlly it asked if YOU would rather die than deny Christ.

It just got me thinking. It's easy to die for Chirst...that's a one time thing. Living for Him is harder. But what if the gunman was pointing the gun at your kids? Would you save them or sacrafice them.

Hard question?

when he knows people are suffering? You tell us he can do anything he wants, why does he not do this? According to a lot of you, he 'intervenes' when he grants you as prayer?

My husband is Brazilian, but despite our "cultural" differences, he has become more and more jealous, possessive, and insecure regarding our relationship. Although, I'm half Asian, I was born and raised here in the states and choose to stick to my beliefs and ideals when it comes to how women should be treated. We don't want to end our marriage, but things are getting very difficult for us. He has an image of how he thinks the a wife should be and he's so hard-headed that he won't even try to understand "our" ways here in the US. Note: He was NOT this away before we got married. I need anyone's thoughts or inputs regarding this. Any Brazilian folks out there care to comment?

My pastor is a wonderful man, one of God's elect. I am grateful that he has been blessed with riches. It doesn't bother me at all to contribute and know that some of my dollars are paying for his fancy cars, big house, etc. Why does it bother other people? What's wrong with God blessing the righteous with riches?

know what Christians are?

i've heard more prejudice comments about Christians on yahoo answers than anywhere i've ever been!!

from my own experience, i can say that i became a Christian after going through an inner transformation when i accepted Jesus into my heart. i guess an atheist can't know what that is like until it happens to them!!

i really hope it does happen to them someday! God bless!

Why does it make a difference if homosexuality is a choice or comes naturally? Lots of sins come naturally, if you are a Christian, you know Bible says we are born into sin. Think about it, no one had to teach you to be selfish as a child, it just came naturally. I have the desire to have sex with someone I'm not married to, how is that any different than being born with the desire to have sex with someone of the same sex? Both are sins, one isn't any worse than the other, many sins are things we naturally desire and yearn to do. Why do people think that "it comes naturally" or "I was born that way" justify a sin? If you don't think homosexuality is a sin, than don't worry about it, but can someone explain this idea to me? The choice is whether we act on the sin or not, if you choose not to have sex with someone you're not married to or if you choose not to have sex with someone of the same sex? Maybe I'm missing something, but how does natural desire negate the sin?

I'm not here to try and bring anyone down and critisize them for their beliefs. Im not here to try and prove my religion to be superior, but I do have a question that I would like someone to answer or discuss with me about the article below.

What are your opinions on the article?

I love to expand my knowledge and even though im a christian doesn't mean that im close or "narrow" minded.

Am I a heretic? Denouncing man-induced global warming is likened to being a Holocaust - denying fully paid-up racist. There is so much money tied up prosylitising the demise of the the planet, and so many big salaries at stake, it is a massive and dangerous juggernaught to attempt to stop.
Ironicly the the wooly brained animal loving rent-a-mob are at centre stage. If they believed their own propagander, and the human populace was irradicated, animals would have a lovely time.

When Lee Strobel's wife became a Christian, he found that the positive changes in her were too noticeable to ignore. Since he had a law background (Yale Law School), and was an investigative reporter, Strobel decided to subject the claims of Christianity to the type of scrutiny he used in reporting on legal cases for a major newspaper. The result: The Case for Christ, a book which chronicles Strobel's journey from atheist to Christian, and offers a compelling argument for the veracity of the Christian faith.

i've just come up with an awesome idea. another book to live by... better than the bible!!! it'll be filled with nothing but verses from '80 rock ballads and what not. so here's the first test of this book. i was inspired by listening to air supply's making love out of nothing at all, truly an awesome song. you give me some of lifes problems and i'll try to give you guidance by throwing back at you verses from these songs. i'm sure if you think about it hard enough you'll find the answers you're looking for in the verses i provide... kinda like the bible, eh? only not so much of that damnation and hell fire...
