My prayers aren't spam. They're perfectly legitimate requests for obscene wealth, loose women and illicit drugs.

Sure, it's easy to feel that way.
But just because we live in a world where so much information is available to us at the click of a mouse, it may be difficult to understand that some answers or prayers may not be answered to our preference immediately. Sometimes the answer is "no". Sometimes the answer is, "later".
God always hears your prayers.

Are some prayers spam? Sure are, and there is plenty of Scripture to support it. For much speaking, for attitude, for praying amiss, while despising others, without faith and so on.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican......Prayed Thus With Himself -- I call that Spam, don't you? God will spam anybody who attempts to exalt themselves in pride before Him.
When I know God's response; to people who pray with 'much speaking' thinking they will be heard --- I begin to consider that God may not hear or read cut and paste either!

Good one. I personally don't feel that way about myself because I tend to only ask for very important things. usually my method of prayer involves opening myself up to whatever insight I may recieve or focusing helpful energy toward a crucial situation.
But for people who do pray about insignificant details, I do think that may be the case. People pray for all kinds of self-serving things. They pray that their acne will clear up, that G-d will help them quit smoking or pass a test in school.
I say; with all that is happening in the universe and all the important world-shattering events taking place on Earth do you really think G-d is worried about your algebra grade?

I think that we all have felt, at one point or another, that our prayers have gone unanswered by God. Psalm 34 will encourage you when it seems like your prayers are going unanswered. It is addressed to righteous people who seek the Lord and trust Him. Praying according to the Word gets the Father's attention because He only responds to the language of His Word. It is your guarantee to getting results.

LOL, what a great way to think about it.
Yes, I think God has a "Bulk Prayer" box for all prayers not resulting in a proper relationship with him.

LOL. That certainly would explain a lot doesn't it?
The idea that He would take his attention away from the universe in order to give me a bicycle with three speeds is just so unlikely I can't go along with it.

God will always answer your prayers maybe not with a yes or no which people often expect, but rather with a "be patient I know what is best for you"

LOL sometimes it feels that way. I believe God has three answers for us: yes, no and wait. I hate the latter.
But those are just my thoughts. . .
I also think I am going to have macaroni for dinner :-)
