In a heartbeat! However, I've always said, from walking with the Lord for many years, that it is alot easier to die for your faith than it is to carry your cross. Because we are bombarded from every side with evil, and increasingly more so as the Day of the Lord nears, we have to wage spiritual warfare every day. If you aren't in a warfare, you're not with Jesus. So be honored if you are chosen to be a murdered martyr. But be even more proud to be a living martyr today. Because that is exactly what we are called to do, dying daily to the world and our flesh.

I would rather die in the faith than to deny God and Jesus and die knowing I had denied the Lord.

Honestly?
Not many.
However, it would not change the reality of God's plan of salvation. Christ is still His Son. His sacrifice upon the cross is still the only acceptable way to avoid being cast into Hell.
So, whether or not the Christian is actually able to stand up for his beliefs when faced with his own death is less relevant than what he believes in.
As Christians we all hope that if we should be faced with this decision we would possess the strength to remain faithful unto death. As humans we have fears like anyone else.
Even Christ asked (in prayer) that if it were possible might this cup (His death on a cross) be removed from Him. Of course it wasn't and yet Christ went through with the experience anyway. This shows His dedication to His Father and His love for us.

Most Christians are fair weather Christians. As long as everything is going great they claim to believe and will enthusiastically profess His name, but when things start to go bad the curse His name and wonder why God is punishing them.
I would like to think that I would be willing to give up my life in defense of my faith, but I have a hard enough time living the way I should. So I will worry about being able live my life for my faith before I will worry about whether I could die for it.

Yes I would. Even if it meant leaving my loved ones. I fully and whole-heartedly believe Romans 8:35-39. That being said, why would I trade down for a temporary life on earth and live in shame. It would be an honor and a privilege to die for my Lord and Saviour.

Oh, puh-leeeeze! As if ANY of you would honestly stand still while being reviled in court, whipped and crucified? I find that extremely hard to swallow.
Today's American Christian has discovered how to make the court system work for him/her. Rather than turn the other cheek, Todays' American Christian files class action lawsuits. Rather than give up everything s/he owns to follow a simple path of love, Today's American Christian spends more on her/his dog than on any starving child.
I love how Today's American Christian cries martyrdom whenever anyone dares mention that there is supposed to be separation between church and state.
I love how Today's American Christian seems to think it is their right and their duty to reshape the laws of the land to fit their idea of what God wants them to do.
Die for your faith? Give me a break. When was the last time any of you sacrificed any of your personal comfort? Be honest for just a minute here.

One here. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. This is my whole hearts desire.
My deepest, most awesome prayer times, where I have soared to great heights of basking in the love of Jesus are but a shadow of what I expect to bask in, in eternity.

are you referring to incidents like someone holds me at gunpoint? believe it when i say i will.
Daniel and his friends did not deny God when they were thrown into the lion cage, and God saved them. Abraham did not deny God from his child when God tested him, and God provided the sacrifice for him.
what im saying is, i would give up everything i have, for Christ. in the first place, all i had were given to me by Him.

You never know until it happens.
But I would hope that when the time came that I would be brave enough to be a martyr.

I have thought of this senario many times and I hoestly believe that I would die before I could deny Christ. He did not deny me so how could I deny him.
