I am a Mormon convert. I joined the Church as a young adult, and have come to know quite a bit. You can find out for yourself what Mormons believe by checking out the link below.
There are a lot of stereotypes out there, but as is typically the case, they are based on ignorance. Fortunately, as the Church continues to grow, more and more people find that they know members of the Church and those stereotypes are breaking down.
Do yourself a favor and do the research yourself... some of these answers actually have me laughing because of the incorrectness. For example,
- Mormonism did not originate in Western Illinois, but in New York
- The founder is Joseph Smith, not John Smith
- Smith was shot to death by a mob, not hung
- There is nothing magical or crotchless about the underwear we use
- good luck finding the 3-headed bull statue...
So... take a look at the link below if you want to know what Mormons really believe.

A heck of a lot. But only about as much as any other mormon would know.
I have to add a comment...many of the things that people are answering that they know about Mormons and mormonism is absolutely ridiculous. So the best way to find out is to actually ask a mormon. Like me for example.
But to correct what I've read so far:
We do not worship the devil.
His name is Joseph Smith not John Smith.
Our underwear is neither crotchless nor magical.
Joseph Smith was not hung, he was shot.
It was Palmyra, NY not Illinois.
Missions are served at age 19 for males and 21 for females.
We have no 3 headed bulls.

I know plenty about them. I spent 2 and 1/2 years down in Utah. They believe that if they live a "good life" here on Earth, they will be granted their own planet to rule for eternity.
They also believe in super underwear that will keep them pure...only Mormons are allowed in the temple in Salt Lake City and when they visit there they ONLY can wear white upon visiting inside of it. If you are wanting to get married at the temple and your father isn't a Mormon...oh, well, he wont be able to see you married off.
They also think that once a person is "baptized" in the Mormon religion, that ALL of the persons ancestors are also baptized.
They are also very strict about HOW much you tithe. If you don't give 10% then you are chastised and if you STILL don't, you are thrown out on your ear and cut off from the church.

Coming from a sixth generation Latter-day Saint and having served in just about every calling available, I know as much or more than most. However, I will not try to fill you in on everything I know in this small time and space. I do recommend that you check out our website, lds.org. Also, call the local church in your area and ask for lessons. Two young people will be happy to assist you.

I knoe wnough to say enough was enough, without any anti-mormon sites to. If you are mormon make sure you know about the war in heaven, and that Cain's curse was black skin and that Ham's wife was black (this is all in their KJV bible), and the laminites/indians also had a cuse of dark skin as well.

Quite a lot. I've been a Mormon for 30 years, so I should.
Do you have any specific questions about our faith?

1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
