Many people believe attempting to commuincate with the deceased is demonic regardless of if your using a Ouija board (or any other talking board) or not. This is a religious belief and one you have to decide for your self.
There hasn't been much scientifc study of such boards since Michael Faraday (creator of the Faraday cage to ground electrical equipment). His experiments using wax paper showed that there was always impressions indicating that force was used to move the planchette (the triangle).
Most experiments using blindfolds have resulted in no intelligent messages. However, this may be an unfair test.
It is possible that you move the pointer with your muscles (though you are unaware, perhaps this is a form of ESP). A good test is called the sitter test. This is a person sitting in for another person that does not know the information the other person knows. The person does the board (it used to be used on mediums) and then the person returns the message to the original person (not present at the using of board) and that person decides if the message means anything to them.
Again under the Science & Math section there is an alternative category that includes parapsychology and paranormal phenomena. This would be a great type of question to post there and get suggestions for possible experiments.

What most people don’t understand is that Ouija is a brand name. The name just means Yes/No. It was coined in the 30’s by it’s original inventor, as a specific brand of spirit board. Spirit boards have been used for CENTURIES. They can work, but they can also be dangerous as can anything that allows a spirit to communicate by channeling through you. That’s how the planchett works, you are actually moving it. A good way to tell if you are doing it or if a spirit is communicating is to look away while it moves to a letter. Pause to look at the letter, and look away again while it moves. Then you cant see which letter you’re pushing it to, but the spirit should. It’s also not always 100% it just depends. Be careful in your use of any spirit board though, by opening yourself to let a spirit communicate through you, you are opening a door you may not be able to close. A good percentage of all REAL possessions in the world occur because an unpracticed person was playing with a spirit board. I’ve almost been possessed myself that way. Made me very ill before I could get rid of it. Also take any information with a grain of salt. Spirits can read your mind and pretend to be loved ones. They can tell you what you want to hear, and they have no problem lying.

Ouija boards do not work to communicate with the supernatural. Basically, Both people have their hands on the mouse and they subconsciously start moving it to point to letters. They think, then, that a spirit or the like has tried to speak with them.

No, Ouija boards do not work. They are a game.
If you want, read some books on developing intuition. It's a slower process but more accurate in the long run.

they are not a toy, ouija boards are used to bring back the murdered or tortured spirits, suicides etc, all you will bring through will be pain and unless you know how to return a spirit once you get it there don't try, leave it to a professional.

Well, I have only tried the board once in my life. There are two things I would recommned. Do it with a big group of people and do it with someone that has experience in these matters. Someone with more than three years experience. I tried it with someone that had been dabbling in it for five years and every question I asked it (in my mind and not out loud) it answered. It definately blew my mind!!!!!!

No it doesn't work. See the link below. Some friends of mine wanted to try it, and I said "OK, but I want to blindfold all of you and see if it will still spell something". It didn't. It's the people touching the planchette who are making it move.

Fake but real for gullible people.
I almost caused my college roommates to pee their pants one time messing with those boards. I just starting screaming and convulsing like a maniac and they went running for the hills like Satan was on their tail.
Quite funny.
