He's given everyone their particular gifts for a particular reason and when everyone does what they need to do then we take care of each other. There will always be suffering in the world because the devil exists here and we have free will to choose what we want and sometimes we choose evil and thus we suffer.

He already has told us what He will do, and when He will do it. Jesus is going to come back. He will intervene before that in the Great Tribulation. The best way to have God intervene in your life is to gain peace with Him. And the only way to do that is to turn your heart to Him, by trusting him through His Son Jesus christ. I know it sounds like the typical line, but it's true.

Its not that he cannot, he chooses not to in most cases because because we made this world what it is and he wants every eye to see the effects sin has on both humanity and the world.
