The Health Care System Lie.

Half way in the middle of Canada lies the Sleeping Giant, a natural rock formation, a monument to itself, and if you know the story, a story of betrayal and maybe someday a monument to deceptive half-truths, where truths can lie. As the legend goes the truth of the mine of silver was betrayed.

On June 7th, the Canadian Cancer society announced 'research" indicated that vitamin D can help prevent some 60% of cancers. For decades alternative scientists have suggested that basic and simple methods exist to deal with the cancer problem, however mainstream science in North America has been motivated in finding a patent able profitable treatment, expensive molecular research and expensive treatments; another classic half-truth. Some people don't see prevention as a cure, believing in a cure is treating people with a cancer. But if we prevent cancers, is that not the simplest, and best of possible cures ?

To play Devil's advocate here: If Judaism,Christianity and Islam are to be believed then God is a unique divine being and we are creatures He has made, even if through evolution.Does He ever get lonely for others of His kind? What can we give Him or make for Him that He really needs even if He might love us for loving Him? If there's no God we'd still have each other but God's situation is like being abandoned on a desert island and never seeing another human again and only having the work of your hands to keep you busy - this would be God's work as Creator but no creature would be His equal or truly like Him.I could be wrong and probably am - just something that struck me as odd.

How do you know god? As a being? As an energy? I believe that god is everything and most importantly unconditional love. As a believer in god, I feel that this is what I am trying to come closer to in all of my lives. Please share with me. Thanks.

Is the very act of prayer a sort of therapy in itself; putting one's thoughts/worries into some sort of managable order.

I found several questions about what day or date certain events relevant to Christianity happened. Our current western system uses weekday names taken from norse/germanic mythology and our date system is a roman adaptation of the Egyptian system. What possible relevance do Christians see in these pagan systems in regards to Christianity?

What happens to people who were raised in different cultures and have not been exposed to god at all? Even if the person is good hearted they are damned to hell? What about the poor children in these situations they go to hell too?
If this is true I say christianity is disgusting.

I.E., what is more important to you, the truth or what you believe at this moment? I'm not saying that Jesus didn't rise from the dead, so I'm not looking for 'Of course noone will find evidence for that' answers, I'm just curious in the IF question. Without Jesus, our religion is practically the same as Judaism or Islam, would you follow one of those religions? Or would you carry on being a Christian of some sorts? Or would you stop believing in God?

Now,that I have placed a period on the obvious....Please share anything about your faith in God, or even a hateful rant...or even answer the question.

Have you ever been toyed with by the enemy? I have many times. In a vision or a dream has he ever tried to throw you into the pit. This happend to me last year and found myself decending down and down until it got so dark I could not see my hands infront of my face, infact it was so dark if you close your eyes it was darker than that, it really peritrated my being, and I kept falling into darkness, then I found a hand came into the pit and pulled me straight out. The bibles says that God's right hand pulls me out of the pit. That was around the time the adversory was harrassing me in the middle of the night in visions. But this tormenting supernatural dream was confussing as I had no idea what was going on when I was going down and down into the botomless pit so full of darkness that was consuming. Has that happend to you and what happend?

convincing a religious person there is NO god, or convincing an athiest there IS a god, to me they seem equally difficult, although, if there was the slightest bit of proof then i don't think there would be many if any athiests.

Christians generally defend God's actions when he chastised Job rather than take a loving, empathetic position at that point of the book,. Does this mean that Job deserved what came upon him?

I mean Jesus promised salvation to those who accept him, well this is what all these christians tell me, and they also say that bad deeds or good deeds don't affect your judgement, so that means it's possible for any horrible person to get to heaven because of their belief.

This may seem like a rather biased thing to say. First, to clear up any misconceptions not all religious people to to avoid this particular section of yahoo answers just those that completely push their beliefs on other people.
Young boys enter this catagory to ask questions about themselves, questions that they would rather ask strangers and others such as that. Being only 16 im not that far past the particular stage that i speak of, yet entering mens health questions usually about penil and erectile topics is really starting to, for lack of a better term, piss me off.
Religious fanatics that enter these topics and quote the bible verbatim and tell little boys that masturbation is wrong and that they are going to hell if they dont stop, and that porn is an unatural thing and must end is really immature.
Im probably just blowing smoke out of my ***, but just for kicks i was wondering if any of you agree with me in this. Send me a message if you want a debate.

My favorite city in all the world is Paris, and at every opportunity, I go there. If it is Heaven you dream about, that you hope for, why not get along there now, why live on amongst all the evil around you? Could it be that you really aren't altogether certain that such a thing as Heaven, or Hell, exists? Across nearly all of my years on this little blue rock I have not believed in Hell or Heaven or the Easter Bunny, and I relish my rich and unendingly awarding life. But so many devout Christians keep in their satchel of gods and demons and ghosts constant assurance that in Heaven their miserable lives will be swell and sweet and, though each one of them is merely one of the billions of human creatures, a seat next to God. I would beg you to live on, to remain among us till your clock ticks your goodbye, but, truly, the Heaven-thing is a puzzle to me. If it were Paris, and if I were not on tour across North America, I would shag my youknowwhat to JFK by afternoon.
