Is there any 'proof' of Christianity other than a 2000 year old 'chinese whisper'? I am looking for any actual proof that the Christian God exists.

I'm starting to doubt it. I'm a boomer and in many ways pretty childish.

I find this to be a growing phenomenon on yahoo Q&A. I'm not sure what we should do...should we offer cream pies they could hurl at each other? Perhaps a christian cage match?

It just seems like everytime a "person of god" gets mad at another "person of god" then they start telling each other to repent.

Meaning if people were to stop their biased hatred for other religions and teamed up to objectively try and find which religion is right.

I am studying portuguese in a 1st yr. level class at a univ. I went to Brazil nearly 30 years ago as an exchange student, so my spoken port. is not too bad, especially once i've been speaking it for awhile - once i warm up. I am taking the class because i want to learn the proper grammar. Most people were nice, but some made fun of me, as some of the grammar in my question wasn't quite correct. It was a combo of a little carelessness, tiredness and forgetfulness and a little bit of not knowing verb tenses or correct words. Language changes over time with the intro of pop culture and slang, so i'm not really up-to-date. But i think it was a good effort on my part and i know it wasn't all wrong.

My question is, how would you react to someone who was from another country, trying to learn english and asked a grammatical question. Would you be nasty with snide remarks, or would you be helpful? What kind of person are you?

I was driving home, and ran over what appeared to be a human body that was in the middle of the road. My guess is that someone placed a dummy there, probably kids, to scare people into thinking they ran over someone.

Well, it certainly scared me! I drove back to find it was only a dummy, but it was horrifying!

What is wrong with the person who did this - I mean, how do they even think to do something like this?

There are many situations when people ask questions that one feels uncomfortable with. Example: You have been invited to a few parties and you need to turn down all except one. It is likely that those you turned down might be disappointed or maybe pissed. When they ask why you are not able to come, should you tell them the honest truth? The honest truth might hurt their feelings! This case would come up if the party you selected was the best because it had the most cool people there and other perks. Yet if you said that, those you turned down might likely be unhappy and label you snobbish etc. when you have done nothing except made the best option.
This sort of scenario also comes up when friends invite you out and you can only go out with one.
Sometimes disturbing questions come when you do not know a person well and they are ask for personal information like where you live, your family background. It can get quite irritating. And it is different when it is a colleague that ask.

I am single and not married. I am a virgin. I do like women. I am not perfect. I have masturbated for years and looked at pornography. Also I was molested by a male when I was 7 years old. My father and mother were emotionally unstable and unavailabe and they verbally abused me. I unsuprisingly was unpopular in school and was poorly socialized. Even though I have alway been fascinated by girls i started having very strong same sex feelings a puberty. I got delivered when I was in college now I am trying to get a girlfriend. I do pray and read the word and trust God. I still have these homoerotic nocturnal emissions when I go for several weeks without masturbating that scare me back into doing it. I am 32. Is my life a waste? Will 1 wonderful woman ever love me and give herself to me? Please be kind
