I know about the trip to the temple when he was 12. But was he certain then? The first two temptations that satan presents to him, seem to be designed to cause him to doubt.

I work in an orphanage here in the states. These poor kids are praying for homes with a wonderful family. Why is that the stars who make most of their money here in America adopt kids from other countries? American children are just as needy as any child from Africa, Vietnam, Cambodia, ect. I'm tired of so many people praising Angelina Jolie, Madonna, to name just a couple. What have these celebrities really given back to America. The USA needs to start taking care of the USA. What we don't have homeless, starving, sick, citizens here? Yes I understand it is their money and they have the right to do what they want with it. I just wish they would visit some of the orphanages here and look into some of these childrens eyes. I really feel that celebrities buy there way into these other countries and boom they become ambassadors. Does anyone remember Angelina Jolie when she was married to Billy Bob Thorton? And the french kiss she planted on her brother on national TV? An Ambassador? Please

Why are we wasting money searching Mars. They aren't going to find anything. Shouldn't our government money be spent for better more useful things.

I always read this term here in the questions regarding different people who were persecuted and killed by the Nazis. "Gypsy" is the dictionary translation of the German term "Zigeuner" (I'm German) which is derogatory similarly like "*****", while the correct term in German now is "Sinti and Roma" (I mean some of them are Sinti and others are Roma), which are the words they use for themselves. I hesitate to use the word "Gypsy" because it sounds racist to me, but my question now is if it sounds derogatory for native English speakers and also if anyone understands what I mean if I write "Sinti and Roma". I use to answer these questions and I am irritated about the usage of words now.

If you have time I'd like to answer you an additional question: What are your associations with the word "Gypsy"? What comes to your mind? Isn't the word loaded with prejudice?

Do you turn your friends away? Go to bed and give guests free rein of the house. What if there were quite a few people coming?

Any suggestions?

Just because some people prefer to worship God in a quieter way, does that mean they are any less than? Even though some people speak in tongues, and carry on with visions, and loud wailing , I don't see where this outward show proves they are any closer to God. Most often they are absolutely no different in their "personal" lives than anyone else.

Pulling a kid out of the gutter, vaccinating him and throwing him back in the hell that he came from-- who could feel good about that? Should they instead use their billions to rally all the civilized nations and also the civilized people living in uncivilized nations to come up with an equitable "rule of law" to make the world governments to solve this grave problem by implementing economic policies under a free enterprise system to pull the people out of the hell on earth they live in and thus find a permanent solution than just engaging in superficial acts to feel good?

Ok, here are a few statements. Are any of them wrong? And if so, which ones and why?

All major religions have a certain number of radical fundamentalist's who would like nothing more then to have their beliefs instituted and enforced and the only difference is how they try to achieve this goal.

Most major religions have had at least one holy war where they invaded another country in order to kill nonbelievers or convert them.

Most major religions have had groups who would kill in the name of their religion even if it was done in an act of terror.
Examples: Bombings of churches against Protestants by Catholics and vice versus.Bombings, shootings, beatings, and death threats against everything from an abortion clinic to another faith to a person because they are gay.So, terrorism is not isolated to one religion.

Most members of most major religions believe that they are right and everyone else is wrong and it says so according to their religious texts.
