Whatever comes on that day, it is for my birthday. Otherwise, my wife and I do something for St.Valentine's: We take each-other in turns to restaurants (doesn't have to be exclusive or expensive) where they don't organize anything special for the day because it becomes formal then, and crowdy, too.

I want to finally get my finace, here to the USA from West Africa. Mabey the third time will be the charm, strike one was Nov., strike two was Dec., she just got into the UK today, I think. I haven't talked to her since 1/27 and I'm praying the third time will be the charm and that I will hear from her soon. We met on the net 9/15 and my plan is we have eachother as a valentines present.

My husband and I boycott Valentines day because 1) it shows a complete lack of imagination to go and buy each other marked up tat just because the corporate machine tells us to and 2) we don't need a reason to do something nice for each other.

We regularly surprise each other with a deed or gift and are still very much in love xx

last year I had been dating my boyfriend for 6 months at valentine's day and he sent the most gorgeous bouquet of tropical colored roses to my work! This year I hope he replicates the roses again because I loved them so much :)

I can say what I hope not to get--A social disease (STD). Only kidding. However since there is no special someone in my life but two lab mixes and family, I anticipate getting nothing but what I buy for myself.
A nice meal of my choice and a night with other single mates.

I'll be gobsmacked if I get a card. Hubbie believes love shouldn't be restricted to just one day (or maybe he's just a tight wad lol)
