Sorry but the riddle is wrong!!! The Devil fears knowledge,
if people would know he is bluffing he has no game.
No one will have MORE POWER than GOD!!! For starters, but I understood what you want to say.
The answer is "KNOWLEDGE OF ALL THERE IS, ON EARTH, IN THE UNIVERSE, IN THE OCEANS, IN HEAVENS,
EVEN IN GOD"!!!
And the reason a person will die is if you are NOT ready to know, hold and use this knowledge, is SO POWERFUL, that will kill you!!!
That's why when Moses went to the mountain and received the tablets of the TEN COMMANDMENTS, he aged!!!!
And he didn't even saw GOD!!! Because GOD knew his power and proximity could kill him, even though Moses was so faithful and such a believer, GOD asked Moses to cover his face and NOT to look at HIM directly!!!
Everything that comes from GOD is absolutely SUPER POWERFUL!!!! That's why GOD WAS, IS, AND WILL BE, FOR EVER AND EVER AND EVER!!!! AMEN.

You added the God and Devil part to a very old riddle. I believe I saw this when I was about 6 when I read the Hobbit. The answer is of course nothing.....why don't you just ask the riddle in its original form instead of trying to preach?

Well, the answer would have been "nothing" but the devil fears faith and love so really that just kind of screws up your whole riddle.

OH MY GOD! That's SO clever! I figured it out (all by MYSELF!).
It's "Nothing", right?
Wow. Oh, that's so inspiring. I feel like going out and watching the sunrise and just hugging myself over and over again while I think about how much I love god, and how wonderful it feels to have God standing beside me. Oh, it makes me feel SO smart to have figured it out all by myself (I mean, with God's help, of course). God must have put "nothing" in my head just to make me realize how smart and inspired I am by this.
